Don't give up solely on petty excuses. Perhaps try Marriage Counseling first and discuss your needs and what the consequences would be if she doesn't commit to doing what you ask and vise versa. Talk it out and figure it out, but don't give up just yet.

If there are no kids involved, just get divorced. your happiness is more important then the 1/2 of your assets you're gonna lose.
if their are kids involved how unhappy are you? and how often?

I think they are valid if you've given it a good effort to try to work it out. Have you tried therapy? She might be unhappy as well.
If you are stuck in a rut trying the same things won't get you out of it. But people can change, it's just hard. The shock to the system has to be greater than one more round of lukewarm effort.
