Spoiler: they wrote an article quoting my comments and picture citations.

Take it as a lesson lads, think about your comments, put a little effort into fleshing out your argument while maintaining a level head - it's not just MRA's around here, there's all kinds of people who poke in to see what's going on.

[–]Rethgil 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Theres also another simple factor that amazes me people fail to consider-when it comes to rows of seats in front of the other, or that face each other...

The simple globally known fact; Men. Tend. To. Be. BIGGER!

Shows how stupid society has gotten that they dont even consider that. Less legroom means an obvious resulting tend for men to need to open their legs just to fit them into the seat space, such as on tubes, buses and so on.

And most people arent aware many companies have been gradually cutting and cutting such space by tiny amounts to save on fuel costs/make bigger profits etc. They also have been cutting the WIDTH of seats, again INEVITABLY resulting in males bodies sometimes impacting on the adjacent seat. Many times new train carriages have such smaller seat space allocated, many times they switch out the seats on old ones. Same goes for waiting rooms.

It sickens me how feminists seem to simply not think things through for a second and instead revert to man hating and over emotional blaming instead of trying to use brain power to consider things.

You should make this a post on its own, because it's a very good point that I haven't seen made before.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

You are about to get anally raped by any feminist that sees that article

[–]Jex117[S] 10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Well the article's been up for 7 months. I was wondering why I was get random replies on months old comments, but I guess this explains it.

[+][deleted] -7 points-6 points-5 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Soooooo, have you been anally raped yet?

[–]Jex117[S] 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Nope. Just the random bad-logic arguments I usually get from feminists. It's all pretty easily argued down if you've got the facts and citations to dismantle them.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't fucking move

[–]Rethgil 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can argue them down but they wont change their view. The majority wont bother even engaging in debate and just assume you 'hate women' or some such similar agenda.

But actions like yours CAN affect the small percentage of people who were 'fence sitters' regarding things, and thats the best anyone can hope to do. Keep up the good work.

[–]perplexedm 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

They will call it mansplaining.

[–]goodmod 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

As long as it's read by genuinely interested people, that doesn't matter.

You will never convince a feminist, but many of the readers are not feminists.

[–]perplexedm 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Those who are not feminists are already convinced anyways. Those who are feminists can never by convinced. This reads like some 1984 quote.

[–]goodmod 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

> Those who are not feminists are already convinced anyways. Those who are feminists can never by convinced.

If that was the way things worked, nobody would ever think about possibilities and society would never change.

Clearly that is not the case, or feminists would never have changed society in the first place. Therefore it *is* possible to influence people, and we *should* try to do it.

[–]perplexedm 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are wonderful effect was there from the beginning. Feminist just abused that weakness of men and system in general, they didn't change anything.

Men will never have such comfort level or benefit in the system and women will keep on exploiting it.

Feminism is a symptom of excesses of affluence in the system nothing else. Add to that weak men and society which really don't have to struggle or think much about future panders to whatever girls say for short term gratification.

[–]Jex117[S] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's a common fallacy they throw around. I try to behave as though they didn't insult me, and continue my side of the argument around their fallacies.

[–]perplexedm 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a common fallacy they throw around.

Of course, but that word is an absurdity which is as acceptable as feminism, even used in parliaments by feminist women in power.

You can keep your rational arguments, but for now, listeners will be few. Because women and feminists have lot to gain from such absurdities.

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I was expecting you to get anally raped, so now I have to do it myself

[–]ZimbaZumba 19 points20 points21 points 7 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

`Manspreading` is a concept invented to keep the feminist mob going, they are running out of causes. As an issue it is straight out of Alinsky's Rules for Radical, rules 6 & 8. The media is ultimately responsible for it having light of day.

[–]DJ-Roukan 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Glad that you cited Alinksy's rules for radicals, as that is exactly what is transpiring here, just another ploy to keep men back on their heels, so that the feminuts can continue their reign of terror noticed.

I don't even like the content of that article, ‘Manspreading,’ an annoying but ultimately minor social issue/

Who the fuck declared it a problem? Some feminist jackwagon? Like toxic masculinity, all the way back to the 70s and "testosterone poisoning", these dysfunctional, hateful, dregs with control issues have been pounding us, unabated, with more and more nonsense attacks, as if they have ANY right to even think about critiquing men. What sort of bloviated arrogance dictates that?

There is only one viable response to the accusation of "manspreading". And that is, Go Fuck Yourself.

[–]Rethgil 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We have got to understand as a movement the level of careful, planned, cynical organisation we are facing from feminists. There have been mentions of high level plotting through targeting common words and attaching negative associations in precisely the same way propaganda works.

Dont forget, its common for feminists to have studied language related courses too, so thats what theyre going to use to attack.

Hell, I even saw an animal lovers group accidentally leaked an email recently-it showed a month by month carefully laid out propaganda plan to 'change people's associations of people who disagree' over something like TEN FREAKING YEARS.

If you think consider that thats the level of orgainising and plotting from a bunch of dog lovers, what do you think the level is from hardocre man hating feminists who had their party night ruined when Hilary crashed and burned to Trump? They are FURIOUS and determined to change everything around to blame men in revenge.

What do we got planned? Absolutely fuck all.

Im not knocking us, we're growing in numbers fast, and getting small victories, but you gotta admit, when it comes to plans, strategies and unifying for specific goals, we're a 'mouse facing a gorilla' to quote a movie phrase....

Hopefully we'll soon realise we gotta somehow unite and plan more to achieve specific goals to take back our rights and rebalance things.

Take a look at the comments. That's where the results matter.

The point is not to convince feminists.

The goal is always to influence the people who are reading.

True that...and why so many of them disable comments. There is a concentrated effort, through-out the media to silence men's issues and maintain the agenda. They survive through censorship and only censorship.

I mean, we have basically a little epidemic of instances of women, teachers no less, sexually abusing little boys, some handicapped, some as young at 8...and crickets? Let some idiot woman demand equal pay for unequal work in tennis and it's hysteria. Let some radical feminist invent yet another slanderous accusation against all men, and its like a feeding frenzy.

You do not argue with feminist, you expose them...and now the same with the general media.

[–]Rethgil 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nicely put.

[–]Arqium 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The comments are weird.Manspreading is about dominance?I have never ever seen men asserting dominance by opening their legs in the bus. Maybe where I live no one cares about it.Indeed it is a sense of etiquete to close your legs if there are persons wanting to sit beside you, but as there are douche men that are uneducated, there are douche women that also are uneducated with their womansplaining with their bags... many times i had to ask for the woman sitting in 2 sits to take thei bag in their lap so I could sit.

I have never had to ask to a man to close his legs.

[–]Smelly_Scientist 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. Men sitting with their legs spread out is ok as long as they aren’t actually occupying more than one/their seat.

Unfortunately I have found selfish dudes on the subway/metro that occupied two seats solely with their spread legs (they weren’t overweight or obese). Many people (men and women, elderly, etc) wanted to sit there but are too uncomfortable to “put those guys in their place” (literally). That is when I can see why it is seen as a dominance issue. But it is not the norm, I think I found 2 or 3 guys like that in my lifetime, and I take the subway twice a day for 10 years now.

I do the same with the people (men and women) that occupy seats with bags and other objects. It’s a matter of respecting public spaces and not being selfish.

[–]Rethgil 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. Like I said, its an old aphorism in all forms of things-in sports, in running for politics, etc. You cant CHANGE minds as most have already made their minds up and will be entrenched and unwilling to accept fact, no matter how its put.

Alll you can do is win the minds/games that hang in the balance, that is, the minds of people who arent sure what they thought about an issue.

Influencing or shaping anything bigger takes a clear strategy, unity, and goals, over a long period of time. Which is exactly what feminism has been doing. They got a jump start on us lads. We're playing catch up. Can we catch them once more and overtake?

[–]RoryTate 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Those are well reasoned and very levelheaded posts and it's good to see that they got spread (pun intended) so far and wide. A little addendum to the section you wrote regarding center of balance: men's center of balance is higher on average because they are taller on average as you state, but their center of balance is also higher as a percentage of their height, meaning that a man and a woman of equal height will have a different point where they balance, and for the man that will be higher than for a woman. This is mainly due to women's wider hips and heavier lower bodies ("heavier" relative to their total body weight), and men's wider shoulders and much stronger upper bodies.

This different center of gravity is sometimes demonstrated in high school physics classes with the "chair lifting" experiment, where girls can lift a chair after stepping back from it by a few steps, while boys cannot.

Good points, saving your comment for copypasta in future arguments.

Build your arsenal lads, save links, citations, pictures, and comments.
