There is a worrying trend now. As living standards fall and recruitment/job hunting gets harder more people are getting this way. The harder it is to succeed the more likely some people will “cheat” and become at best unethical and at worst illegal

Yes it does incentivize bad behavior from men. Its always easier to get laid by lying than telling the truth.

I thought as you do when I was younger, and it made me upset that women would choose the morally garbage men who would tell them whatever they wanted to hear. But then once I took that advice and put it to use, I realized that the women who those guys actually manage to fool most regularly, are the same women that I can't stand to be around. Most women worth pursuing only fall for those tricks a couple of times in their late teens and early 20s, and stop falling for it. Which means that all though you'll get laid more, you'll constantly be surrounded by women who are a real pain in the ass.

I managed to maintain a 5 woman rotation, by telling the truth about the situation, the difference was that 2/3rds of the women who were asking me for sex didn't want to be part of a rotation, which meant I had to talk to more women to find them, but once I did I didn't have to lie about anything. And the women who selected themselves into the rotation, were actually happy to meet each other, and could get along with each other and generally managed the timing of their dates with me among themselves. They looked at it as a good way to get their needs met, with low commitment, and a lowered risk of STDs because they knew each other and talked every day, and knew that they would be informed immediately if there were ever any changes to the roster.

The most important thing is to remember, that you have to live with yourself. If you act unethically, You'll piss people off, which increases your chances of getting false accusation. And you'll have to face the fact that you only get the attention you get due to said unethical behavior. They aren't choosing you because you're better, they are choosing you because you lie better. Which will make it more difficult to actually be confident.

A clear conscience is a very valuable thing.

This kind of judgement is far too jaded, and lacks a great deal of information. I'll do my best to clear up some blind spots, and will even include a proposed solution. Please read thoroughly, for the sake of discussion.

The question:

You have to ask why women do these things. Why do they want things like wealth and status in a partner? What is it in society that makes these things worth going after, rather than the more tender and emotionally fulfilling, intimate parts of relationships that men are so painfully in need?

Its simple: Any rational person, when their survival is consistently under threat and who's given little opportunity to enact change, will do exactly as you have proposed : Take no frivolous risks. Do whatever is necessary to live, no matter the moral objection.

Intimacy is always frivolous in the face immediate survival. So, if wealth=stability=survival, then where do those without power to support themselves go?? Were do the women go?

Consider:

History hasn't been kind to women. As people, their innate humanity is by default under question. Moral behavior is expected of them in self-sacrifice and caring selflessly for others, but not extended to them as individuals. Ethics often exclude them for convenience, resulting in preventable deaths and prolonged human suffering(this loss of life goes ignored or is eye-rolled for the most part). Liberty is almost always withheld, and any power to influence & participate in society beyond being a mother, housewife, or sex prop, are regularly sabotaged through violence, harassment, and coercion.

It is VERY hard for societies to mature past this primitive power dynamic. Even in this post, they're regarded not as people, but described as one would describe silly little children who need guidance. Much like the Greeks who in one breath practiced democracy, and in the next considered chattle slavery to be part of the natural order.

It's a truly massive hurdle for humanity to accept a class they've been hazing under false pretenses for millenia. We live in...interesting times politically...so it's not surprising some may maliciously conflate one struggle with the other for the sake of division.

So what's the point?

Well, I'll tell you.

The answer is to put less at stake.

Women's hyper-focus on stability over intimacy, isn't the cause of the issue but a symptom of it. Women are already extremely social by comparison. They crave emotional connection and seek it out when conditions allow, but the insane penalties coupled with the lack of power mean less risk-taking, less connection, and less dating variation.

Rational people choose life over love, and by strongarming/threatening/intimidating an entire class of people trying to cement independence, we're making it exceptionally hard for women to choose love.

If it's out of necessity for survival, then not starving on the street is lovely. Getting medicine you need is wonderful. Avoiding the knuckly end of aggro people who want to punch you dead for smiling wrong, perfect. Super hard to be mad at that. The caveat is that, when these conditions lessen, and the threat is no longer viable, the behavior stops. The ability to reach a sort of baseline of security is met.

However, the proposal to be "unethical in response to unethical" doesn't really hold up given context. The baseline is already met, so there's little reason for the behavior.

It's kind of like a shop owner getting "inconvenienced" by the homeless, and then deciding to inconvenience them right back with anti homeless spikes during winter. Both are technically doing the same to the other, but only one causes actual harm for the sake of spite. Pointless punching down over the symptom of a much larger problem.
