I feel like its a chicken or the egg problem and just finger pointing at this point. Post mentions how single mothers are raising most of the boys therefor women influence but then who influenced those women...and so on. Also maybe its just a recent phenomenon but I have never heard of any man chastised for toxic masculinity as a child. What I have heard when I was a kid was dudes being picked on by other dudes for being weak, whimpy, "girly" so I really don't see where thats coming from.

I think a lot of lesbians have a bone to pick with the feminists who misunderstand and misrepresent them, because lesbians so commonly embody the ideal of what feminists think they themselves should be like according to their ideology: Gender non-conforming and 'don't need no man'.

The main difference is that lesbians 'don't need no' ideology like most feminists do in order to do these things. They naturally tend towards these behaviors because of their orientation. But feminists assume they are choosing to fight their desires(for men and femininity) in an act of "anti-patriarchal" rebellion. Like the archetypal champion Womyn.

However, if there is one thing that pisses homosexuals off, it's being told that their relationships and gender-presentation is nothing but a choice. And eventually many lesbians(especially the gnc ones) in the movement come around to that and the realization that they are being used as nothing more than ideological props by many feminists, that their allies never truly understood their sexuality(and thus were/are not fit to fight for their political and social interests), and worst of all, that their misandrist belief system poisons many lesbians against the sex they may mostly relate to behavior-wise; Males.

And feminists label the masculine behavior that lesbians themselves can display to be "toxic". But of course, only when done by a man. But they can see the double standards and so will call feminists out on it.
