males who are falsely accused have their lives destroyed- person who did it never named or punished

males must register for the draft or face prison and a $250K fine

males routinely lose child custody in divorce, 400% more likely to be murdered or homeless

government spend 2X more on gender specific illnesses for females despite your lower male life expectancy

females claiming to be better at everything have it celebrated in the media, but if a male does better at anything it is seen as a “crisis”

Per the article:

Double Standard 1: Gender Pay Gap - still uses the overall figures for how much money women earn compared to men, without controlling for days/hours/years worked, specific job titles, or the fact that women (in the aggregate) tend to choose jobs dealing with "people" (traditionally lower paying) where men (in the aggregate) choose jobs dealing with "things" (traditionally higher paying). Article disingenuously implies that this is an exact comparison of job to job and hourly wage to hourly wage, but if it were, we know that they could never arrive at the figures they do. If companies could literally get away with paying women 20% less than men for the same job, no man would have a job. This is utterly and completely false.

Double Standard 2: Assertive Women Are Often Considered Bossy - largely subjective things, and not something that can be legislated. Data supporting premise is either behind paywalls or is anecdotal using subjective descriptions of personality traits. No consideration of the men are treated in female dominated work sectors - I'm sure you could find the same sorts of perceived or maybe even real bias.

Double Standard 3: Slut-shaming - talks about how women with a high body count are viewed more negatively than men with a similarly high body count. This is a bald-faced attempt to excuse the long history of hypergamy among women and to shame men for exercising the right to choose their female partners. Further, women engage in slut-shaming women as often or more than men do.

Double Standard 4: Women expected to change their last name when they get married - who cares? If a woman doesn't want to change her name, she can just tell her partner, and if her partner is fine with that, great, if not... well, that's between the woman and her partner. This is a non-issue.

Double Standard 5: Women have difficulty getting tubal ligation - Drs make them get spousal approval, some Drs won't do it at all. It's LITERALLY the same thing for men. Most places that make a husband sign off on a tubal ligation will make a wife sign off on a vasectomy. Perhaps the double standard is that women think they shouldn't have to go through that, while apparently they don't care that men have to go through the same shit.

Double Standard 6: Cleavage prevalent in advertising and media, but breastfeeding women told to cover up. Again - this is a subjective thing and highly dependent on specific places. How does this compare to the double standard of women showing off cleavage but getting mad whenever a guy (that they aren't interested in) looks at it?

Double Standard 7: "Dad bods" are considered attractive, but women are expected to lose baby weight after giving birth. Mostly it's other women putting these sorts of pressures on women. Further, it's hard not to view this as a highly individually subjective thing intended to shame men into believing that they should not be able to choose a woman that is attractive to them.

Double Standard 8: Men are disproportionately praised for taking care of their children, whereas women are expected to be caregivers. After GENERATIONS of women bitching about men leaning in on child care, when men do more of it and are recognized for it, now it's a problem? If women aren't socially expected to be the caregivers, why are family courts awarding women custody of children 90% of the time? Where's the bitching when you get money for it?

Double Standard 9: Childcare responsibilities still widely fall on women — millions of women left the workforce after childcare centers and schools closed due to the pandemic. This is just a restatement of double standard 9. It's also highly subjective and individual. This is related to double standards #1, 6, and 8 and really isn't a separate issue.

Double Standard 10: Any parenting decision a woman makes is subject to "mom shaming." I'm pretty sure that overwhelmingly, it's other moms doing the shaming... further, given that family courts award primary custody to women pretty much 90% of the time, what's the issue here? On top of that, there are plenty of studies showing big correlation between negative outcomes for children and single motherhood vs. having two parents around? Women are incentivized by the state to divorce who is incentivized to have them seek child support payments. We see these both having significant negative outcomes... yes anxiety is a reasonable response to bad decision making.

Double Standard 11: Women pay more for the same everyday items because of the "pink tax." This is 100% based on women's choices - buy a men's razor that isn't pink ffs, or don't shave. Get your hair cut at a barber for $20 instead of $75. I'll quit feeling bad for women about the sales tax on tampons and pads when men stop getting charged sales tax on engagement rings.

Double Standard 12: Women may be more likely to die of a heart attack if they have a male doctor. This is based on a garbage study that failed to control for numerous confounding variables and is nearly as unfounded as the garbage math that went into the gender pay gap.
