I am so damn tired of hearing the word misogyny slapped on anything a man says or does that the culture dé jour doesn’t agree with.

At this rate words like - Misogyny - anything ending with “-ist” or “-ism” - anything ending with “-phobic” - etc

Have lost ALL impact of seriousness, because they’re so over used.

I’m glad that OP got demolished in the comments so much they removed their post. Gives me some faith in humanity but she’ll only bring the same disrespect into a new relationship. If you’re in your mid 20s and view the opposite sex with that little respect you shouldn’t be dating at all.

I've noticed that the users on that sub become very traditional when it comes to a man proving his commitment through marriage or basically, putting his money on the line.

Saw some comments in your link saying that men on 30k a year are "broke". I'd argue that if your income is low, it's even more of a reason to not marry. If you divorce, you'll probably be struggling with alimony payments and could end up in prison. Which in turn will make finding employment more difficult. Not wanting that is smart. They want dumb or unaware men so they can continue taking advantage of them.

They also get annoyed if a married couple have separate finances unless it was the wife's idea. People claim that marriage isn't about money but it sure doesn't sound that way.

what's so weird about the reaction? she wanted to get married, he doesn't. why should she stay with someone if marriage, which she wants, is not happening?
