We all know how in the movies and TV shows, the cool, badass, cigarette-smoking protagonist is portrayed time and again as an Alpha. Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Peaky Blinders, etc. etc. It's nothing new, and I'm sure there's some conspiracy theorist out there yelling and screaming about how Big Tobacco is in bed with Netflix, but it does have a certain, powerful draw to it.

My question is, in the real world, what is the average woman's initial reaction to seeing a man smoking a cigarette? Does it have the same draw and appeal as it does in the movies? Or is it widely seen as a gross, unpleasant habit?
