Here are the statistics from the US Census http://www.justfourguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/dalrock_never_married.jpg

From these I do have some questions for you guys, so for those of you aspiring sociologists please share your predictions.

  • How much do education levels affect marriage rates? My experience people with only high school educations get married and have kids pretty young.

  • For the average woman how much does this have an affect? Is the rate of unmarried women really just because we have a growing group of slutty women that have really high standards?

  • What about women that are legitimately not interested in children and marriage. I am not just talking about a woman rationalizing her failures but a woman that legitimately doesn't care for that. The childfree community is growing more and more now.

  • Isn't our culture just growing to be more and more accepting of divorce and being unmarried so in all honesty is it really that big of a deal? If we look at European countries the divorce rate is higher, unmarried rates are higher, and it's just common place.

  • More and more men are also okay with marrying later in their life and want a woman that is usually within 5 years of his own age. Only the exceptionally wealthy/high status men usually marry someone with such an age disparity.

And again I am not talk about you personally, I am talking about in society as a general. The way a lot of the people here think is different from what most guys in general think. When it comes to marriage they don't do a cost and benefit analysis it's just something that happens when they meet someone who they think is the right person. Women are often discreet about their past encounters, so if a girl did have a lot of casual sex most guys wouldn't know. And in fact almost all women these days go through some type of phase where they have casual sex.
