The core insecurity of women is that we're nothing more than our sexuality. Our value is completely tied to our bodies, for having children, for "breeding".
We want to be more than that, to be valued for our personalities and abilities.
The core insecurity of men is that they're nothing more than their resources and what they can provide. Men are tools to be used. Men want to be, of once, valued for what they are inherently and not just what they can do for women and others.
All of this stems from the biological truth that sperm is cheap but wombs/the cost of having children is costly.
I wish biology and evolution were talked about more in online discussions about male vs female experiences and on dating shows. It's clear that men don't understand the female experience and what it's like to be a woman, and women don't understand what it's like to be a man.
If we just start with the biological base and extrapolate, it unifies both experiences and makes it completely clear to both men and women why the opposite sex acts the way they do. It explains literally all behaviors both in dating and out in the world.
It explains why many men are bitter about feminism. If you think about literally every aspect and tenet of feminism, at its core its purpose is to free women from that core insecurity - that we're nothing more than our bodies and have nothing else to offer. We're more than that, women can be doctors and CEOs and musicians and everything else. Every single movement that's related to feminism in some part addresses this core insecurity.
Yet men have not been freed from their core insecurity, that they're nothing more than what they provide.
The core insecurity of women has been recognized my mainstream culture and society thanks to feminism, the core insecurity of men has not.
This explains almost every aspect of the male experience:
- Men seeking power at all costs is not because of toxic masculinity. If the value/justification of your existence is your power and resources, then of course that incentivizes you to seek those things.
- Men do not open up about their problems because the value of their existence is tied to their capabilities/what they provide for others. Opening up about your problems is broadcasting that you need resources/attention to be diverted to you, devaluing you. The equivalent would be like if as a woman, every time I opened up my face became a little uglier. Opening up comes at a cost of decreasing my value.
- Men wanting us to put out on the first date. We think it's because they feel entitled to our bodies and that it's yet another example of men reducing us to our core insecurity, that we're just sexual objects. No, it's actually them addressing THEIR OWN core insecurity.
Us fucking someone else quickly but requiring multiple dates from them reinforces the idea that they're nothing more than their resources, that they had to offer more to get the same because we see them as inherently inferior.
- The reason for increasing male suicides is not about toxic masculinity. Doesn't make sense, cause male suicide rates have increased during the same time period that progressivism increased. The real reason is economics.
60% of male suicides are NOT linked to mental health. IT'S (often) NOT ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH. It's because these men feel useless. Men often think about suicide for years and years before finally doing it. It's often a deliberate decision based on a weighing of their life situation, rather than a spur of the moment emotional affair. Statistically, the vast majority of men also seek mental health counselling prior to committing suicide."I am useless" is the #1 reason by far given by men who consider or attempt suicide. It's all tied to a changing economy and a greater difficulty for men to provide for those around them when compared to previous generations. If the value of a man is tied to their resources/usefulness, then of course more are going to consider suicide if they can't fulfill that role.
We often hear that feminism doesn't just help women, it benefits men too! Men should support it!
I do think men should support feminism, but I think we're basically nearing the end of the road when it comes to the benefits of feminism. The next frontier for liberating both men AND women will come from liberating men from their core insecurity of their existence being tied to their resources/value. If the issues of men were recognized, i bet there would be a lot less bitter men and they would be much more willing to support feminism as well.
Also, the reason most men don't speak up about these issues is like i mentioned earlier, the value of men is tied to what they can do for others. Speaking about your problems as a man = you drain resources rather than provide it = your value is less than other men who don't have issues. It's equivalent to a woman becoming uglier every time she talks about her problems. Instead men just let these issues fester alone.
Going back to biology and evolution, A women with no abilities is still useful to her community just on the basis of being able to have a child. A man without abilities is completely useless, potentially worse than useless since he consumes food. A women with no resources/abilities should stay alive, a man with no resources might as well die.
Men learn through their life experiences that the above is true. Society worships men at the top, but absolutely nobody gives a shit about the men at the bottom. Much less than they do women at the bottom, we still get empathy and sympathy and care to an extent. I don't think we as women understand this or what the life experiences of the average or below average man is like.
Our hormones and brain signals that fire off when we socialize have evolved to reinforce this. That's why this truth is true in every society across the globe. Our social dynamics are guided and reinforced by our biology. When we see a pretty woman our brain automatically fires in a certain way. See an ugly woman, fire off in a different way.
