I read "How to win friends and influence people" and the advice to always tell people what they want to here I've really implemented. And it's worked to an extent, I'm certainly more popular than ten years ago.

I don't know if I'm too nice though. I"m considering making an experiment of doing a month just being more disagreeable in general. Maybe argue with supervisors more. Just test the waters.
