A father traveling with his teenage daughter was recently detained by airport security as a human trafficking suspect.

American Airlines trains their flight attendants to identify and report suspected trafficking. Many major hotel chains (Marriott, Hilton, etc) do this as well. Anyone want to bet that this training neglects to inform those taking it that ~40% of traffickers are women and instead pushes the idea that trafficking is men grooming teenage girls?

I traveled alone with my daughter when she was six without a problem before this trafficking training came into place. She's now 17 and has a RealId with the same address on it so I'm not concerned now either. A few years ago she had to spend a night in a hotel with one parent while the other parent stayed with her brother. This phenomenon of targeting dads was a big part of our decision process to send mom, a woman, with her... just like any smart trafficking organization would do.
