Behavior that is perfectly acceptable when done by LeBron James or George Cloony is positively CREEPY when it's done by a low SMV male.

Creepiness is sexually charged attention from men who are perceived to be lower SMV than the women they are "creeping" on.

A fat, young, broke, pimply faced, greasy haired couch potato daring to make eye contact and say "hello" to a 10 is inherently creepy.

The bigger the SMV difference and the more sexually charged the contact is, the creepier it is perceived.

In all honesty, everything the other comments have been saying is correct. Another thing though, that I find rings true is instead of a push pull dynamic, it’s only pull. This is why nice guys are deemed creepy, they are only pulling and making it far too easy for the girl. They want a challenge, not a simp who rolls out the red carpet from day 1 until the day they get bored.

Women use "creep" as a form of social control. Anything they don't like they label creepy.

However, it's basically this:

Unattractive guy attempting to be sexual.

If you're attractive, you can be sexual. It's confident.

If you're unattractive, you're still welcome to orbit so long as you don't try and get any of teh sex.

If you're unattractive and sexual, you trigger alarm bells.

Most men think "being sexual" is creepy. It's not. It's creepy when you're unattractive.

Also, one of the hardest things to learn to avoid creepiness (and be more attractive) is to be overt in your attentions rather than hesitant. If you're hesitant, they think "what's he hiding? what's wrong with him?". If you're bold, they at least think it's confident (doesn't always work, but girls can deal with it better).

Creep is when you show your neediness, your craving for approval. Being thirsty.
