How did a documented history of physical and emotional abuse help you in your Divorce case if you never filed DV or police reports?

I am the higher earner, and she continues to legally abuse me through court (hearing coming up for Alimony). She admitted herself into rehab falsely while she is not alcoholic to keep her income at 0 so i will be left hungry and unable to pay my own expenses.
