Apparently that's the cardinal sin in many women's eyes, and more to the point I've seen guys who are fun and not much else do well with the ladies.

Obviously boring is subjective and I'm not going to be some dancing monkey for anyone but I'm wondering what most women would consider to be boring so I can try to avoid falling into that trap.

I'd consider myself to be funnier than average and I've got my share of passions and interests and a very colorful imagination so I wouldn't call myself boring, but I'm pretty well averse to drama and I'm low reactive and level headed, and I can't help but feel like this is enough to have me labelled as boring in some women's minds who would opt for a guy that's emotionally impulsive and intense (for reasons I'll never quite understand) ... in my eyes being dramatic doesn't make someone interesting or engaging but according to reality tv and social media etc it is a hack to achieve the same end without actually having to have much substance. I digress.

I'm also obviously not going to be trying to force a connection with a lady who's looking for someone who isn't me, but I think it's worth being mindful of ways in which I might be coming across as boring or not as fun as I could be and shortchanging myself

Practical advice would be especially helpful

(Word to the wise: if someone demands on dating apps that you be fun and not boring, save yourself the energy and swipe left)
