Why does it feel like you’re being for saying that physical attraction is a necessary prerequisite for a romantic relationship?

Of course personality is essential for a healthy longterm relationship but that doesn’t mean looks should be downplayed

People often remind you that beauty fades which indeed it does but that’s all the more reason to find someone you’re very attracted to

I’ve made the mistake of trying to date someone I wasn’t very physically attracted to and it was awful and painful for both of us and I came to realise the hard way (well the soft way) that it wasn’t going to work
