I have a hard time grasping anyone can have such little self respect that they would set such a low bar in a relationship. Even if they have kids and a house tying them together it seems ridiculous
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 04:06 PM
1

Why are humans programmed like this? Seems to be a major evolutionary flaw that virtually ensures suboptimal offspring to put it bluntly
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 11:25 AM
3

Yeah it’s fucked up. But I wonder as a well meaning non asshole the best way I could capitalise on this phenomenon and spare a woman some pain, Without sounding like a white knight
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 09:03 AM
3

Yet often wind up with men who don’t even treat them with basic respect That’s the amusing part - the bar seems to be set so high then some obvious slimebag sneaks over it
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 08:16 AM
14

Meanwhile she got the ick from a genuine decent man because he didn’t have Instagram or didn’t give her enough tingles on the date
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 08:13 AM
1

This seems like an accurate description and explains why women seem to get so hung up on guys who seemingly offer nothing to her when she has endless options Which is why there are so many slimebags who put on the nice guy act just long enough to creep under women’s radar. Surely as societal stigma diminishes and women become more financially independent they become ruthless with cutting of these types of guys ?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 08:09 AM
6

Do they really though? I would assume that 80% of men would meet those standards but I know tons of guys really struggling just to date including ones who are well above those standards I guess the pickiness of the guys and luck play a big role too
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 06:52 AM
3

Then how is it that the average guy still winds up in a relationship and why don’t guys who do put in a lot more effort have tons of success ? Assuming they’re not ugly
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 03:22 AM
12

Not that I wish to exploit them but where are all these women with zero self esteem? Every woman I've met has always been quite judgmental (which is a good thing because it means she has self respect). If I didn't carry my end of the conversation, treat them well, look good, smell good etc they made it clear and in some cases they left. I end up doing 60% of the talking on a date. If I never asked them a question we would sit there in silence for most of it. I try to select women who seem educat…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 02:55 AM

Why do you speak as though you’re the authority? None of what you said is true in my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/24 03:47 AM
1

I match with probably 50% of women I superlike or send a message to, but getting them on a date is extremely difficult these days. I’m focusing on in person approaches
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/24 03:46 AM
0

Why? I know ugly guys who’ve met their partners on the apps. Their partners aren’t classically beautiful women but they’re happy together
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/24 03:44 AM
3

As a man, I appreciate your concern but it’s really not that bad. Most people who are worth engaging with aren’t actively hostile toward men, those who are are just a minority of damaged people who are quite easy to avoid
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/24 03:41 AM
1

I figure only broken / insecure women would be truly attracted to someone who acts like an asshole. A bit of cheek or sassiness is reasonable but if being a crass selfish abusive type of guy gets a woman going she's not someone you want. And I couldn't live with myself being an asshole because it's just not who I am. Even if it works I would feel like I'm selling out and disrespecting myself in a way.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/24 04:29 AM

That still doesn’t justify being a cunt by exploiting insecurities or pressuring women
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/24 02:52 AM

Can you elaborate on how you would be sexually aggressive on a date? I understand being more touchy and making more sexual innuendos then inviting back to your place but I’m not sure what you mean by aggressive. I’m always paranoid of coming across as pushy or slimy with women ever since I found out that a woman I was with didn’t really want to hook up but felt pressured to so the only time I’ve fucked on a first date is when they basically said they wanted it or put their hand down my pants whe…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/24 02:39 AM

Then why can’t they come out and say it. Also acting like a manly man gets boring. I mean what’s the typical mould… showing no emotion… always trying to appear in control … making all the decisions… making all the moves… seems lame. Surely society has moved past that point. I guess not
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/24 01:53 AM

Because most conversations with any real substance inevitably involve some level of vulnerability and I’m not interested in frivolous banter for hours on end. If she opens up emotionally and asks me a personal question what am I supposed to just turn it into an innuendo or something? That’s juvenile
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/24 01:50 AM
4

If you’re just looking for sex why would his personality matter? Oh I thought feeling safe and respected was supposed to be quite important to most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/24 12:31 PM

It sure beats putrid religious moral absolutism, which I'm going to go ahead and presume you're advocating for
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/24 05:48 AM
1

That’s presuming that someone isn’t ok with staying single for as long as it takes to date someone up to their standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 02:14 PM
1

Well there’s no other reason to be so insistent on denying my statements. I only want to fuck 2-3% of women because that’s all I’m sufficiently aroused by. End of story. Enjoy your wider preferences / lower standards
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 02:11 AM
1

Why are you so offended by the idea of a guy who doesn’t want to sleep with most women? Not every guy is a walking dildo willing to fuck anyone who smiles at them
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 01:47 AM
1

I was being facetious but the fact is I’m just not aroused by most women. Am I supposed to pretend that’s not the case? I don’t know why but it’s always been this way since High school. Most guys were slobbering over half the girls in the class, I was only ever attracted to 2 or 3 girls in my grade.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 01:06 AM
2

Good point, I guess I just meant physical attraction standards in my eyes like I’m attracted to certain features generally and wont pursue anyone who doesn’t have them because I’m just not as attracted except on rare occasions. But I know for a lot of guys physical preferences are just that and not deal beakers
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 01:02 AM
1

As long as we don’t compromise personality to be with someone we find sexy, I made that mistake once because getting the full package is so rare and even if you don’t mind being single you can find yourself getting a bit desperate sometimes. But that’s great you managed to find one who ticks the boxes
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/24 12:58 AM
1

That’s not exactly something to be proud of ( or ashamed by) Just don’t be leading women on believing you like them if you only want to hit and run
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 05:08 PM
1

What’s absurd about 1 in 20? Are you really attracted to most people you see?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 05:05 PM
4

Why are you intent on fucking women you’re not very attracted to anyway? Just to boost your notches to stroke your ego? I’ve never understood why so many men go for quantity over quality.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 04:24 PM
0

I do sometimes but also there’s an effective remedy for a lot of ED: fucking women you’re attracted to

I’m just saying they’re not just objectively more attractive, only to certain women. Some are shorter, not in great shape, not very smart, not that funny, you can’t just say conclusively that they’re more attractive because it’s just not true

To certain women. It’s like saying a mile is a long distance to run. To someone unfit it is

So you’re deliberately exploiting women’s insecurities to gain their unhealthy devotion? I’d like to think that’s not your gameplan otherwise you’re a scumbag yourself It takes far more fortitude and strength in life to resist the temptation to trample others and perpetuate the suffering for self gain. You could argue that life is cruel and we have to do what we can to survive but that’s a horribly cynical view, and where would humanity be if everyone lived by that logic? Extinct, or a Hobbesian…

In my cousins case she argued that he was really nice when he wants to be and thought he was a good person deep down. I guess this isn’t necessarily loyalty but more like ignorance and manipulation and maybe trauma but it happens incredibly often even with women who are actually attractive, smart, and not obviously damaged. But also genuine nice guys exist and they have a right to feel indignant when a woman opts to be with a scumbag. They might be overlooking some positive qualities he has, but…

You must not have met a woman who stays with and defends the behaviour of a guy that abuses her in public and isn’t even particularly good looking, smart, funny, successful or accomplished in any way. My cousin was like that and so was my best female friend, luckily they eventually realised how much better they deserve. Men can fall for that as well from sexy gold diggers and homewreckers but it seems more common among women, even women who don’t seem to be damaged per se

Well shouldn't you reserve less judgement if they're behaving the way they've been bio programmed to , spreading their seed? I remember someone once said that men chase women into the chamber and women chase men into the chapel and I think there's some truth to it. But any half decent man won't actually cheat though they might fantasy about it. He will break things off if the impulse gets too strong. And the fact that most do stay with a woman through the years speaks even more to their characte…

Are you sure you weren’t just pre selecting for slutty damaged women in unsatisfying relationships? There are a lot of them even ones from good backgrounds who you would think should be really self - assured, but I still presume that most women are not so lacking in integrity and easily manipulated Also, I briefly tried being an obnoxious dick to women and it worked embarrassingly well with two women but otherwise it backfired, I think because it was obvious that it was just an act, whereas the …

A few times I’ve tried flirting with women who were dating guys I considered to be pricks just to let them know that they don’t need to settle for them and even as a 6’5 good looking guy they wouldn’t give me anything. Granted that this was during the day and never when alcohol was involved. But you’re probably right What’s the implication though? Should a man be constantly weary of his girl cheating? My MO is to treat a relationship like it’s eternally iron clad unless they give me a good reaso…

I’ve actually read that shit years ago including models by mark Manson and the game by Neil Strauss (both tools the latter much more so) and watched in field footage from Todd valentine (another tool and a lot of his footage was faked) and it all felt so foreign - I remember trying some of it with women i was meeting and virtually none of it worked and I felt like a fucking phony. Yeah I was still just curious how it happens exactly but I think I’ve figured it out and in doing so realised that’s not for me. I don’t have any moral qualms about promiscuity but some of these fuck junkies shouldn’t be enthused, they’re just egomaniacs or sex addicts who put their sexual conquests ahead of women’s comfort and I don’t know why so many people even some in this thread seem to support that sort of shit.

So after kissing how do you escalate it? That’s what I mean when I say it doesn’t just happen, at least for the guy we’ve got to make it happen ( unless she’s slobbering for you ) After kissing I’ll usually try to keep some physical contact with them maybe my arm around them or touching their thigh or something then suggest heading back to my place if I want to try to fuck them, but still I’ve lost quite a few women to last minute objections or sometimes the flame has just flickered out I guess …

Damn you deserve to get laid on demand with all of that effort. I just can’t be fucked with all that. I don’t really value casual sex enough I guess. And I don’t enjoy clubs for the most part. Unless I like the DJ or I’m on ecstasy I’d much rather be hanging out with a friend playing guitar or doing anything else. I don’t like crowds of sweaty people shouting and bumping me and overpriced underpoured drinks and shit . I’m trying to find some venues I don’t mind because otherwise it’s hard for me…

I’ve been on plenty of dates where she clearly likes me but she’s not sexually forward for one reason or another and I have to consciously make it happen - that’s a date let alone a work party where they both have something to lose. Seems a bit blunt. Surely you want to explicitly mention going back to your place so she doesn’t feel mislead if for some reason she thought you were just going to another bar or something. Do you just straight up talk about sex with women you’ve just met? In what context, asking them about their sex preferences or talking about the sexual experiences you’ve had or making jokes about orgasms ? I’ve had that backfire completely when I misjudged how open they were. Some women like to look promiscuous but then get weird out when you actually bring up stuff like that. But also I shouldn’t need to be dry humping them at the bar or asking them point blank if they want to fuck. Surely it can be done a bit more tactfully by proposing to go back to your place? I feel like that would be a much more comfortable conversation for the lady as well especially if the answer is anything other than a yes. /r/PurplePillDebate03/03/24 06:32 AM

Yeah they definitely don’t think about it nearly as much as we do, but even when I’ve tried to be less intellectual and more instinctual I don’t exactly do any better with women. But what about the guys who aren’t physical specimens and don’t have incredible charisma who don’t seem to pester women for sex but seem to naturally wind up fucking women regularly? They’re the ones who are really mysteries to me And even for the chads I’ve had women change their attitude completely when I suggest leaving the party etc and heading to my place. That should be inspiring and prove that you don’t need to be Don Juan to get women, but it just confuses me. What are they doing differently? Being really direct? What do you mean make it your personality? Should everything I say be a sexual inyourendo? Should I avoid getting into conversation about anything serious even if they bring it up? Should I be constantly touching them? That shit just isn’t my style. I’m not a touchy person, I don’t really like public displays of affection, I like to have real conversations not just stupid flirty banter, and it wouldn’t feel natural to act the way you’re implying I should act. Far too many people mistake being loud and melodramatic for having a compelling personality. I can’t look away when I witness a building fire but that doesn’t mean I want to be anywhere near it. This then reinforces the wrong behaviours as people realise that they don’t need to be deep, nuanced thinkers to reap social validation, assuming they’re even capable of such. Yeah that’s my definition of boring. Far too many people seem to think that being loud and dramatic makes a person interesting - maybe if you’re incapable of thinking otherwise it’s just boring juvenile bullshit. I’m trying to be objective but I guess we’re emotional creatures which probably answers my question anyway. I do have a question that you briefly mentioned in your post, how the fuck do people date others who have zero personality and nothing ever to say like your old roommates gf? I know guys (and girls) will quite often put up if they find really sexy but I’ve tried having dates with women like this and it was the most boring soul sucking experience

In order to discover their horse cock or marathon man abilities they have to already be willing to fuck then which seems like a catch 22 to me Also how broken are people that they put excitement over stability and respect in a relationship fucking hell might as well play Russian roulette
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 02:26 PM

I’m not gonna deny this outright because I think it holds true often enough but surely any well adjusted woman isn’t going to respond well to being treated with any disrespect at least if she’s looking for a long term partner Admittedly self respecting women are probably in the minority

Yeah but when the argument about good sex or being dicknatized comes up all I can think is... how did they even get to the stage of having sex? It seems like a catch 22 where in order for that to work they must already be intimate
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 07:36 AM
1

You don’t need to weigh up dating like stock investments but you absolutely should put sufficient forethought and have some criteria you seek in a partner, and if you allow such significant decisions to be determined by capricious emotions then you’re either mentally unwell or a fucking idiot who probably deserves to suffer the aftermath of their idiocy And I can think of many things less sexy than being stable and predictable… being a scumbag narcissist should be
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 06:04 AM

That’s a Fair theory, I just don’t even understand how they meet each other. Are these guys blatantly lying about everything on dating apps or do they sneak out and go to underground dog fighting rings or something

Apparently these women have never heard of ted bundy, or Charles Ponzi or any case of someone who appeared confident to hide sinister intentions. The weird thing is that when telling people about a guy they like women won’t say ‘oh they’re so confident because they know it’s not an attribute in itself, yet apparently it draws them like a moth to a flame
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 05:55 AM

1) in my mind love isn’t defined by playfulness and fun, it’s about deep respect and empathy - that sounds like you’re confusing it with lust 2) of course trauma dumping is unattractive but that’s not what I’m referring to when I say deep necessarily more like philosophy of why we’re here, goals and aspirations, what makes us fulfilled and so on
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 03:59 PM

Well unless it’s just casual sex Isn’t it a matter of also determining if your values align? The best conversations I have oscillate between vulgar banter and profound deep musings. One without the other gets either too vapid or too depressing

I am looking for a longer term thing at the moment but I need to keep enough sexual attraction that she still wants to fuck me besides just confiding in me so I guess I need to know when to draw the line and make it known that I’m still looking for a sexual partner not a therapy client or something If you have any advice about a good way to do that I’m all ears

So what’s the conclusion? Avoid most topics and just have dumb surface level flirty conversation until you’re officially dating or something
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 04:46 AM

That’s true physical enhancements are still hijacking our mating heuristics and I would expect that they’re not the only reason why a guy would date a woman, just as I expect people to look past confidence, maybe I’m being unrealistic though
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 01:30 PM

It sounds like you’re definitely more discerning than a lot of women then ( and a lot of men for that matter) But I’d say most narcissist aren’t that subtle if you read between the lines but they still manage to beguile a lot of people unfortunately
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 07:15 AM

Reason to be confident = think you’re better than the next guy OR realise that appearing confident helps you get laid. It can be as simple as that
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 06:30 AM
3

Yeah really insecure people are a drain but most really self secured people I know are relatively quiet and don’t feel a need to be overtly bold or loud and so on many social settings they may get overpowered by the ones who do feel like they need to prove themselves- and many of the apparently confident types are bitterly insecure beneath their bravado.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 06:15 AM

Unfortunately very many women mistake arrogance and narcissism with confidence in my judgment Think about it - if that sort of thing was only met with ridicule and rejection eventually most men would stop behaving that way
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 06:05 AM

Confidence is a (inaccurate) touchstone for competence which was historically highly sexually desirable because it indicated that a man could successfully protect and provide whilst men just want fertile looking and motherly women I think. Maybe I answered my own question

I don’t want to come across too critical but as someone who’s gone through different phases and subcultures is it really that important that someone has the same aesthetic as you? Most goths I know are about style over substance anyway. /r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 09:17 AM

Having said that I’ve met some really boring people with outwardly interesting lifestyles and some really interesting accountants and stuff it’s mostly a matter of inner views, sense of humour, how they express themselves etc
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 03:47 AM

There are a lot of thirsty bastards out there but I would say all in all they’re a vocal minority. I wish we could get rid of them because they just ruin the dating and even casual sex landscape for other men as well as women
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:05 PM

I do it all besides holding their hand. To me its a gesture more intimate than kissing and more appropriate for established couples. You wouldn’t generally hold hands with someone you meet on a night out unless it’s as some sort of funny act like linking arms or something. I’ve asked friends and they tell me they never really hold hands on a 1st date and it almost feels like lovebombing to me Or is it an arrow to a womans heart ?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 12:37 PM

Not fucking on the first date is considered reserved now? Goddamn
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 12:08 PM

Which is what I’m doing right (besides hand holding which has always seemed too intimate for a first or second date) Also half the time they show little interest then turn around and ask why I wasn’t interested in them
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 12:07 PM

Is your only ambition in life to have sex at any cost? Surely you’re worth more than that
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/24 11:10 PM

And the irony is that a lot of jock types are actually extremely desperate. Maybe not with one individual woman but usually their ability to get women is the cornerstone of their confidence and things get ugly when they get rejected / denied for some time as I’ve seen happen
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/24 02:17 AM
2

Yeah good point. It’s just tough because not only do I need that but mutual sexual attraction and we both need to be single and looking to meet someone and that narrow the market down into a tiny rock pool

Golden age and dark age I like that. I was in a Golden age until early December (unfortunately I was busy working and had relatives staying here so I didn't really have time to capitalise on it) since then I've barely had a match on dating apps and the two women I was arranging a date with ghosted me, and now it seems that women in public (at my job) aren't even smiling or flirting like they were before. Being in a relationship can certainly help because it serves as tacit confirmation that you're at least desirable to someone else, but surely the strategy of not pursuing anyone so they come to you only works if you're objectively a very desirable person. Plus when I stop looking, I barely go out because that's the main reason I would go to most social events, so unless I meet someone at work or social sport or through a friend (all of which are very unlikely) then the chances are would seem to …

No I mean mating dynamics are bullshit the same way I think capitalism is bullshit: it’s real and it works but I wish it didn’t because it just demonstrates how illogical most people are and allows assholes to exploit people by learning how to hijack the mating selection process
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/24 07:55 AM

I understand mating dynamics I just think they’re a load of horseshit and people ought to be ridiculed for throwing themselves at pieces of shit or getting obsessed with people not downplaying it with memes

Never heard of it, is that a red pill term? I don’t think it applies only to one man in a woman’s life time, just one man at a time though Is there a term for a woman who at a certain age decides to start going for more meek stable guys after being fucked around by alpha assholes in her earlier years?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 10:18 PM
1

Surely not that shrewd or they wouldn’t so often pick men who are no good for them where everyone else can see it but them. The more I think about it certain women deserve a share in the blame for the existence of assholes by rewarding their behaviour. In theory if a disrespectful person never got what they wanted then unless they were a real sociopath they would moderate their behaviour eventually.

It could be something subconscious or you see a side of him that most look past… it could even be that you have unorthodox preferences that he fulfils. There’s probably no point digging into it too deeply just take it for what it is
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 02:13 PM
3

I understand women are put off by a man who puts them on a pedestal but I still don’t understand the attraction to guys who treat them like trash. Many people want what they think they can’t have but that doesn’t mean I’m going to look past the fact that someone is a bad person and doesn’t respect me just to prove that I’m capable of getting them. Do they all lack self respect or are they so stupid they think that they will be the exception?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 08:31 AM
2

Funny how that approach never seems to work for guys who aren’t actually pieces of shit though. Maybe it seems more obvious that they’re putting on an act?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 08:10 AM
3

It's the nature not the nomenclature, love isn't equivalent with what I'm describing. Love is based in deep respect and can be platonic, limerence or infatuation isn't
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 06:31 AM
4

Sometimes. Not always. I don't even believe in love in the starry eyed soulmate sense, but it's obvious that some people just want affection from certain people as a means of validation.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 05:44 AM
1

But it shouldn’t feel like you’re putting in hard effort necessarily right? I mean I put effort into writing music but it doesn’t exactly feel like it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/23 12:24 AM
1

It’s not just black and white though right there is degrees of it? I’m sure everyone is slightly insecure and capable of feeling jealous etc What are the early signs you look for though?!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/23 12:23 AM

How long did you search for your Henry cavil? Most peoples fear of being alone convinces them to call it in too soon and they end up compromising on major areas, not just physical appearance but I know plenty of people who wind up with people who have kids they didn’t really want, who have different goals or don’t have much in common and I doubt it’s all due to a responsible approach reconciling fantasy and reality
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/23 01:46 AM
3

Tell that to all the people who wound up with manipulators or got fucked around by their employers and missed promotions or didn’t have the money to go back and study to change careers etc. I mean technically youre right but theoretically that statement doesn’t sit right because it’s so dependent on luck and other factors
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/23 03:01 AM
1

Say its 1 in 50 women for me, there’s still a slim chance that I will meet them unless I’m going to speed dating every weekend or something And a lot of events aren’t really ideal for meeting people anyway, clubs are more about casual sex, work can be off limits, dating apps suck and so on
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 10:50 AM
4

Then weirdly enough I know good attractive enough people who are overlooked and really struggle with dating. It doesn’t seem to add up. Sometimes it seems like most people are desperate and will put up with all sorts of abuse then they’ll also cut you off for taking a bit too long to reply to a message or some trivial reason. I think certain people play into the desperation and know how to love bomb though
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 09:36 AM
1

Are you suggesting people don’t lower their standards over time and lack self respect? It sounds cynical but it’s plainly the case with many people I’ve known I don’t go around saying this to people because I’m not completely autistic but that doesn’t mean it’s not occurring.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 08:59 AM
1

I guess for a lot of people it is. It’s Sad really but that’s the world we live in
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 05:05 AM
3

I’d rather stay single than make significant compromises or feel like I’m settling, there’s something about that which doesn’t sit well with me. Of course you will need to compromise in a relationship but it I don’t have strong sexual and emotional attraction it won’t work either
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 04:50 AM
2

But I think a lot of folks compromise too majorly and are too rash rushing into relationships which accounts for the fact so many of them fall apart or aren’t healthy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/23 04:32 AM
3

That fails to explain all the arrogant guys who shouldn’t be worthy of that arrogance but do well for it regardless This is more of an argument with peoples stupid criteria for determining value I know I’m just howling at the moon
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 01:25 PM
3

What? I appreciate all the assumptions but they’re a far cry from reality, I have quiet confidence not arrogance but the purpose of this post was to argue why I think people are fucking stupid for being blinded by confidence not that it doesn’t mean anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 12:55 PM
1

I mean I have really (although I’m still self critical) but I wish the world would see it for what it is
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 08:20 AM
4

I’m just responding to a common sentiment, but I’ve seen uglier charismatic guys beat good looking guys who lack outward confidence
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 07:35 AM

Yeah but even when you’re dating someone I imagine you’d like to have some sexy conversation which I would consider a form of flirting at least right?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 01:49 PM

Do you think it needs to have a sexual substrate or could it be any sort of playful banter between a man and a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 12:48 PM

In my experience you still need to be desirable as a partner in their eyes but it obviously helps a lot I know you say you’re natural but what do you think is the key to flirting? I think my humour can actually detract sometimes because it becomes too dark and scathing and I end up coming across as a bit too cyclical rather than sexy
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 12:47 PM

But isn’t it a slight catch 22? In order to get her that invested in you in the first place oftentimes you need to be able to flirt unless you’re sufficiently good looking or they’re desperate to meet someone etc
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:14 AM

Yeah I never understood how that terse approach worked for guys but I guess that’s why
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:12 AM

Just because it works with one promiscuous woman doesn’t mean it will work with most
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:10 AM

to fight? Can you elaborate a bit
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:08 AM

Yeah flirting in a shopping centre with nothing noteworthy going on is about as tough as it gets. I’ve had it work for me before but it’s not something that ever becomes easy unless you want to spit out the same script every time which I don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 11:07 AM

It seems like most guys never look up advice or have ‘practice’ sessions as such and they hang shit on you for admitting to it- it’s assumed that it’s more or else acquired naturally like learning to walk
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 10:46 AM
1

Good point and I’m assuming some of these guys are more willing to settle with almost anyone who shows them interest
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 11:18 PM
1

I mean it can work that way but If a guy doesn’t seem overall desirable than I doubt it will pay off like that Something about playing hard to get if you’re hard to want
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/23 11:13 PM
4

Actually yeah it is hard when you're trying to gauge how much affection someone wants to be shown, knowing that too much or too little will sink the boat and often working with limited feedback. If people communicated more clearly things would be different but apparently that's not very sexy or a lot of folks enjoy playing a game of push and pull.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/23 05:23 PM

Most standard romantic gestures are pretty thoughtless and don’t require any authenticity - everyone knows this and yet most still fall for it because most people are naive wishful thinkers. A healthy adult relationship should basically be a friendship with sex, not some juvenile dance with each party striving to strum the other ones heartstrings like little lover birds which lends itself to manipulation and deception and all sorts of bullshit. Yet most people will yawn and roll their eyes whils…

I’m making a case for why I think the disgust is misguided though. Hopefully it at least imparts some perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 05:43 AM

I find it hard to believe that the average guy is a pushy disrespectful asshole but maybe I’m being naive
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 04:53 AM
1

But most women still do rely on the man to make the moves Also why are you demonising physical sexual attraction? It’s not the only thing I care about but it’s a prerequisite for a relationship so that’s why I approach someone. I’m only going to ask if they want to meet up if we have some chemistry not just giving her my number and running off
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 04:51 AM
1

Why do you assume women would never be attracted to men who approach them? Im a tall handsome enough guy and I’m sure there are women who would actually like to get to know me but would never make the first move because of the social stigma and because it’s a very vulnerable thing to do
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 03:37 AM
-2

That’s a complete strawman argument. Unless Ive been living under a rock most guys don’t go roaming in search of women they aren’t even attracted to. Im talking about a guy who happens to see an attractive lady walking past, they make eye contact and she doesn’t give any cues that she’s not interested so he walks over and strikes a conversation with her. There’s nothing devious about that
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 03:25 AM
0

What the hell are you talking about? I would never approach a woman I wasn’t attracted to and I assume only a minority of desperate sex addicted losers would. Who convinced you that it was the norm for men to approach women they aren’t attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 03:22 AM
4

Agreed. Oh are you implying that’s what I’m doing here? What do you really regard all cold approaching as being annoying and creepy? I have to assume you’ve had some nasty experiences that have left you that bitter and cynical
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 03:18 AM
1

Well how would you turn every conversation sexual without coming across as juvenile or obnoxious? Let’s say she’s talking about her dog or her job as a marine biologist or her family, how are you going to turn that sexual without seeming like a slimeball? And why should I have to? If I consider myself to be a desirable man then why should I need to? Do women really lose interest in a guy if he talks about things besides sex? What about building rapport, demonstrating value through humour and sto…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 09:19 AM
1

But there’s definitely a right and wrong way to go about it. Women will tolerate more from a guy they deem attractive but some things are pretty universally unappreciated and liable to make women feel uncomfortable I also don’t think that just talking to them like a friend is going to ruin any chances of having sex or a relationship as many men seem to worry - I’ve had sex with a woman right after talking about Greek mythology and mental illness, it doesn’t need to be all teenage romance shit in…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 09:08 AM

I never said it was that’s why I differentiated it from regular masculinity
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 12:06 PM
1

Fair point but I’d say toxicity is just any type of behaviour taken to the extreme and in the case of the stereotypical male / female behaviours I’d say toxic femininity isn’t just internalised misogyny as some people do but subtle psychological bullying, manipulation, passive aggression, scapegoating, self righteousness
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 12:14 AM
1

Well that or a superiority complex or some sort of dysfunction that isn’t or shouldn’t be desirable right - it doesn’t seem like that’s just men being men
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/23 11:53 PM
5

Treated as if they’re children / simpletons - oh men are just interested in endless sex, men can’t express themselves, prone to violence - think of the stereotype of the average dude. I just find it strange how these persist and come from the mouths of people I’ve met who seem to be so concerned with political correctness otherwise and wouldn’t dare make crass statements about women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 01:56 PM
9

It’s in the title. I’ve ran into tons of people lately who consider themselves to be intelligent and open minded and socially conscious and then make the most crass statements about men without blinking and I think it needs of be challenged But this did get a bit digressive
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 05:42 AM
1

What’s the Blackpill you speak of?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 03:44 PM
1

That’s reasonable but it seems like women are more likely to become love blind and infatuated with one guy to the point where even if she’s meets men who treat her significantly better and may have more aligned values and humour and stuff she still doesn’t really consider them as potential romances - that’s a huge generalisation but it’s based on my experience anyhow
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 01:26 PM
0

Even if they are, one of the key differences is that they aren’t so easily able to attract women as these women are with men, or at least they don’t believe they are - that’s why it’s more staggering to me when women get tunnel vision for one guy
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:08 AM

I had to avoid mentioning that because it’s against this subreddits rules apparently but yeah the halo effect counts for a lot, however it’s still no reason not to bother sharpening your skills or trying to connect with people
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/23 03:17 AM
1

There’s some truth to that but I didn’t want to derail the post by focusing on it - I don’t underhand why so many people seem to reward these types of obviously self seeking egotistical manipulators. But even if that works in some cases as we saw with the fat orange bastard it’s not a strategy that anyone with any integrity or self respect would adopt
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/23 01:56 PM
1

If you actually listen to the shit that drips out of the mouths of most jocks it’s honestly quite boring and devoid of wit, and their social skills aren’t half as sharp as they think, but looks and reputation gets you a long way
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 04:45 AM
3

I have no problems socialising in the right environment. Most clubs actively discourage conversation and encourage nonverbal sexual rapport which is still a form of socialising but not a very high level one I know guys who can hardly string a sentence together but they do well at clubs because they re decent looking and they can dance
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 04:25 AM
4

What? Most people I know hate clubs for those reasons. Who the fuck likes being surrounded by sweaty drunken strangers competing for the same women who are screeching like opossums often just trying to fish free drinks from guys meanwhile obnoxious overly loud music plays bouncers power trip and you wake up the next day feeling like dogshit 60 dollars down
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 01:02 AM
4

Are you referring to dating apps and clubs? They’re neither easy nor successful for most people and they’re crap for the reasons I listed
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 12:58 AM
1

I’m good at making people laugh and feel heard and engaged, not so good at the sexy stuff since I worry about making them uncomfortable so I probably don’t push it as far as some guys. Usually it’s still enough to get them interested because they can see I’m a decent guy and I’m 6’5 and pretty handsome which obviously helps. I’ve watched pick up videos but they all seem a bit slimy and so unlike me that I would feel like a fraud if I acted that way
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 12:27 AM

But also you can get up to speed with someone really fast if you’re willing to learn their body and preferences, I don’t really understand why it’s such a huge deal
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/23 04:48 PM
1

This case was a complete stranger at the beach who must have noted which car she got out of and implies that perhaps he was already following her unless she went back to her car for something but even so i could not believe that they didn’t see it this way
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 01:55 AM
2

But the implication is that they’ve been admiring them from afar and knew which car was theirs so I thought surely that’s enough to set off most women’s creep detectors
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/23 01:24 AM
1

Not in my books it doesn’t. I’ve most often heard it used in relation to a situation where a guy has been flirting and building rapport with a lady or has reason to believe she’s romantically interested but is having apprehensions about revealing his hand and being vulnerable lest it backfires. I don’t endorse guys approaching women who don’t display outward signs of receptivity such as closed off body language, avoiding eye contact or walking quickly but I don’t condemn it like you do. It’s how…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 03:07 PM
1

Maybe by your idiosyncratic definitions but most men use them to convey mustering the courage to express their interest in a woman Also it’s hardly a privilege as it’s not exclusive to men - women are free to do so in return and welcome in fact
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 02:45 PM

I’ve slept with enough women, I just don’t find it very satisfying and very rarely meet one who I want to lock down
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 01:06 PM

Seems like a strange cavil. Would you rather I say aiming to get laid or chasing tail or cuffing like most younger guys? stuff like that seems worse if anything. I also use it because it's an amusing anachronism
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 11:46 AM
3

I'd never roll the dice with someone who I've never even seen before, I'm even apprehensive with dating apps, even people I've video called looked and acted way different in person, but I'm glad they both got what they wanted I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 08:59 AM
4

Because they didn't even bother to introduce themselves to you and you have no idea what they even look like Would you rather a girl talked to you or left a note on your car basically saying that she's been spying on you?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/23 07:35 AM
1

A bit of both I guess I could be putting myself in positions to meet more but most women I’m just not attracted to Theres one woman I met years ago who I still regret not pushing harder to be with because I thought id find others like her but honestly I havent. I don’t believe in soulmates or anything but every now and then you meet someone who you effortlessly connect with and you have aligned values and goals and things and I think as you get older they’re more few an far between
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/23 01:56 AM

I have really specific physical preferences and always have unfortunately it they don’t fit within them I’m just not sexually attracted but they also need to have a dark sense of humour, open mind, empathy, curiosity, stability, appreciation of art and culture - I could try harder to find them but they’re still like unicorns. I can’t justify setting for anything less than that because then I feel like I’ve closed the door on ever meeting them

What they’re told in Sunday school is such a far cry from the words of the New Testament, which is a patchwork of Chinese whispers and hearsay derived from old Palestinian men’s dreams delusions and hallucinations, transliterated, plagiarised from Jewish texts, and altered by Roman emperors to push certain agendas. But you can’t dare mention that such behaviour is often reinforced by women who respond positively toward it - or if they recognise that then they attribute it to internalised misogyny Although I think the minority of women are into this behaviour and they’re not women I would want to date anyway

I've heard it said that women often like a man who has the capacity to be a brute but restrains himself and treats them with kindness, whereas a man who's uniformly nice their kindness isn't worth as much. Do you think there's any truth to that?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 04:31 AM
3

Yeah a lot of guys jump the gun and dig their own graves, but at least they oust themselves because they don't deserve to get what they want if that's their approach. I think I have the opposite problem - I'm too reserved because I'm paranoid of being labelled as pushy or making someone uncomfortable and that's resulted in me being too discreet and them assuming I must not be that interested (especially since they're used to guys being so forward)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 04:29 AM

Where do you draw the line with disclosure of one’s struggles and vulnerability versus wallowing in self pity? I feel like it’s the way you frame it and what you’re doing about it that makes the difference, but expressing vulnerability can be a double edged sword as I’ve realised
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 03:10 AM

It’s funny how petulance manifests in a lot of older and materially successful men, then you read between the lines or see them when things don’t go their way and realise they haven’t emotionally matured since high school

In an ideal world, but do you really think that approach is realistically going to stamp out bad behaviour from the perpetrators? Even the law and recent social movements haven’t been enough. I make a point of calling it out when I see it (when I don’t think it will result in someone smashing a bottle in my face) but there will always be disrespectful opportunists and I don’t want them to completely ruin a woman’s chance at having a healthy relationship with a man because he convinces her that m…

There still has to be some pushback. Let’s say a woman becomes so embittered that she despises and distrusts all men, am I supposed to just agree with her thesis or should I not state the cliche not all men are the way she’s describing? If I leave her views unchallenged and make no attempt to impart some perspective where is that path going to lead her? Her attitude of generalised contempt will guarantee that she will never have another healthy relationship with a man, and while she might avoid …

I assume this is hyperbole but if not, might I ask where the fuck do you live? Saudi Arabia? I don't know how guys behave behind closed doors but I'm pretty confident my cousins, friends and so on are respectful

Yeah it makes sense. What doesn’t make as much sense is assuming that a guy with a cute dog must be a lovely nurturing man, as soon as I started using a dog pic on a dating app my success rate shot through the roof haha

I didn’t realise that was the proposal for the $500 tinder subscription. That’s obscene. Also all my hobbies are solitary which doesn’t help and I haven’t met anyone thru mixed sport yet - I could try joining more female dominated hobbies but that doesn’t quite sit right with me doing it exclusively to meet women . I know I’m a respectful guy so I don’t feel creepy but it seems a bit unnecessary… maybe I should just give it a go though, something like dance classes or yoga with subsidiary benefi…

The friends I have who were abused most heinously were by people they dated from the friends group albeit usually towards the outside of it so it can be deceiving but it does make sense. It’s just tough when you have a large friend group but most have long term partners and don’t go out much, and you don’t really have the time or energy to forge a whole new friend group
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/23 03:32 PM
1

Always found it a bit strange Yeah it’s a screening to make sure they’re not complete weirdos but the chances of finding someone you’re really compatible with in a small friend group seems unlikely
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/23 03:18 PM

I still see it occasionally, mainly on profiles of people who look like they’ve never made a good decision in their life They’re probably not consciously seeking drama as much as I implied but it finds them and they don’t do anything to resolve it I’m not sure I agree with your last conclusion, if you’re going to accuse me of causing drama without evidence I’ll have to accuse you of being dramatic without evidence
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/23 01:27 AM
2

Interesting - adventurous, curious, open minded, humorous - yet that’s not the sort of drama which I see so many people getting drawn toward
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 02:59 PM
2

The question is why are people so addicted to drama that they seek it out in personal relationships likely at the expense of their own wellbeing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 02:25 PM
2

No I mean drama as in arguments, overreactions, sulking, gossiping, backstabbing, mood swings, it seems like many people actually find this sort of thing thrilling on some level even in a partner
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 02:00 PM
1

That's verging on Jordan Peterson hyperbole (women are chaos men are order) but there's some truth to it, however it seems that many people aren't only attracted to spontaneity and adventure they're attracted to argumentation and tension and unhinged behavior which makes no sense to me from an evolutionary standpoint
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 01:31 PM
3

I agree that society is too quick to scorn risk takers when their escapades backfire considering how they shaped civilisation but I wouldn’t conflate adventurousness with melodrama - many of these drama whores lack any sprit of adventure meanwhile my cousin is a daredevil with extreme sports but level headed with relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 11:12 AM
3

The Godfather and a live match (although football is boring as fuck) Which would you rather live: a stable relationship with a level headed partner who holds firm to their convictions and provides support when you need it or a capricious volatile drama queen who turns everything into an argument as though they're on a reality tv show?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 10:48 AM
7

If that's really their mentality they should address it with a therapist because they're a moth drawn toward a flame and it's not a healthy foundation for a relationship let alone raising children. They should also find a few hobbies and learn to enjoy stimulating conversation over childish drama.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/23 10:39 AM

I think maturity implies it’s a point most people will naturally reach when I’m not actually sure if that’s the case honestly - it seems that the portion of women who prefer straightforward communications are the minority… even when it comes to marking boundaries for sex it seems like such discussion is a huge turn off… I’m not sure why exactly, maybe it interrupts a dark fantasy. Anyway I guess I just need to find women who do appreciate open communication
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 09:17 AM
1

Yeah I just don’t know why so many women give such mixed signals and aren’t more forthright if they want it - is there still a stigma about them being slutshamed for wanting it? Until I get very clear green lights I’m really hesitant about making physical moves especially with my hands (somehow that seems more likely to offend than going for a kiss which they can easily just dodge if they aren’t wanting it)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 08:27 AM

Whenever I’ve tried that straight shooting approach women respond poorly though I think they enjoy the ambiguity, maybe it gives them a sense of plausible deniability
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 04:50 AM

Good point but the irony is that a lot of those nonchalant fuck boys really do give a fuck because attracting women is the cornerstone of their whole self esteem complex so they might not care about one specific woman as such but they fall apart when they can’t seem to sleep with anyone for awhile and I’ve seen it The most self assured people I know don’t announce that they don’t give a fuck what strangers think it’s just something you realise after spending more time with them - but of course t…

Yeah I get it. I thought my cousins ex bf was a lovely guy but it turns out he was alienating her and tried to kill her with a knife so you really can’t tell It’s just hard because obviously you need to take a risk to meet someone who’s genuine I wish all the scumbags could be rounded up fed through a mulcher and used to fertilise gardens, but I know it’s not black and white. /r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 01:25 PM

It’s the definition of empirical evidence I’m relatively new to arguing with people like yourself who deny peoples experiences in favour of some flattering ideal
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 07:13 AM

But thats the issue isn’t it - according to many women were expected to ask explicitly because that shows respect, until we do it then it’s a socially inept turn off
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 07:11 AM

So if empirical experience isn’t worth anything then where are you getting your data? How are you so sure that you’re right? Because public discussions are obviously misleading
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:53 AM

More like some women will do anything to avoid admitting hypocrisy on behalf of another woman Pointing it out suddenly becomes “you have to be a sex god and have them eating out of your hand” which doesn’t even address the question of explicit consent I don’t know what kind of sex most people are having but when I have sex there’s no begging or daddy dom shit, that’s not my style anyway I just find someone with mutual attraction we have foreplay then fuck
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:50 AM

What the fuck are you talking about? Did you even read the post?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 06:47 AM

Well it seems like they’re making their own bed of nails by taking that view of it, but I guess it’s largely subconscious / evolutionary
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 05:16 AM

Based on personal experience and friends experience who I’ve discussed it with, what better evidence is there than empirical? It hasn’t stopped me from having sex when I have asked but it has made me think twice about it
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 04:43 AM

It’s not prevented us from having sex but even a mildly noticeable reduction in arousal or potential awkwardness would be enough to dissuade many guys from asking - if women want guys to ask they should reinforce it by responding positively in the moment. You mention non verbal consent but the whole issue is that’s not enough apparently at least in mainstream narratives That cliched friend scenario is another way in which the walk doesn’t match the talk and leaves guys conflicted about how they’…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 04:40 AM

The whole argument is that a guy should ask directly and get explicit consent though? Also how do I make a woman beg? We head to my apartment after a date start watching a movie start kissing then foreplay and sex I might be able to drag out the foreplay To me having some power play where I’m like “tell me how bad you want it” “so bad daddy blah blah” makes me cringe and laugh but if that’s what most women find sexy then maybe I should bite the bullet and incorporate that
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/23 04:26 AM

Well if they took more personal accountability they would be acting more thoughtfully, less mean toward other women, probably make better selections of partners, and it would have flow on effects Most of all I just don’t like to see double standards in effect

What about option c) I’m attracted to her and could see myself having sex with her but I’d rather just get to know her on the first date because I need to build an emotional connection before I want to get sexual? I think that’s where I come unstuck with some women who think that if I was open to having sex with them I should be trying to finesse them into the sack on the first date

Can you give me advice on how to flirt? I find that everyone’s idea of flirting differs and what might be too forward for one person is not even perceptible to someone else I try to weave mild sexual humour and innuendoes into the conversations and touch her when it feels right but I’m not one of those guys who’s squeezing her under the table and whispering in her ear about how badly he wants to fuck her and that sort of shit

But nobody worth listening to or debating with would dare to suggest that men don’t suffer from their own array of serious trials and tribulations - my cousin was more or less suggesting this and I called her on her misandry and hypocrisy A lot of women wind up distrusting and disliking men collectively after bad encounters (which she definitely had since her previous bf tried to kill her) Now I could argue that women are shit at selecting good partners and only reinforce the wrong behaviours an…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 06:03 PM

There are some pretty extreme assertions with presumably nothing more than anecdotal evidence In my own experience a lot of women have a lot of empathy for guys, and personally I know more callous guys who don’t treat women with baseline respect I agree that most all of the systemic barriers to women’s freedom and professional liberty have been removed by 2023 and of course there will remain a choir of self pitying types who can never be appeased or the misandrist types who clearly don’t actuall…

Asking for Consent is sexy except when you actually ask for it it’s not and can completely kill the moment apparently If a lady is in the mood for sex and a man turns it down she often doesn’t take it well at all… meanwhile if I guy is in the mood and she isn’t then he’s not allowed to press the point lest he be a pest
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:14 PM
1

Fair points but how is that compatible with a healthy long term relationship where you’re going to have to see each other regularly and any mystique is going to evaporate eventually? Although surely as mature adults she will realise that she’s not a queen who needs to be entertained constantly and appreciate all the attributes you mentioned, and if they don’t then they can hit the road
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 03:15 AM
1

Yeah the hustle hard grind or die mindset creates boring clones but also generally only appeals to people lacking in imagination and nuance to begin with With that said although passion is attractive forging your own path by focusing on less mainstream more obscure hobbies and interests is going to narrow your appeal to women and can’t expect the average woman you meet to give a shit about it but I guess that just means you need to be selective which you should anyhow
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 07:56 PM
1

So let’s say she’s asking probing questions about you on a date (to try piece together your story to assess whether you’re safe legitimate and worth getting to know) how could you equivocate without seeming shady as though you have things to hide?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 07:52 PM
1

So apparently you’re agreeing with me that hiking isn’t a great idea for a first date and thus contradicting yourself whilst claiming to know my character and dating situation based off of a post and then taking the moral high ground? I regret wasting time replying to you
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 10:59 AM
1

Your experience must have been very different to mine because in mt experience most women are weary of travelling to a secluded location with a stranger who could for all they know be a rapist murderer if not just weird and uncomfortable. Women often express interest in those sorts of dates but when the rubber meets the road most of them prefer the first date to be in a public place where they feel safe and can easily get away
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 07:02 AM
1

You’re right about what? If we connect well over dinner or coffee then I might go elsewhere maybe another drink at another bar, a walk along the beach or park, or invite her back to my apartment for a cocktail and possibly sex if she seems really interested. An activity date seems more appropriate for a 2nd or 3rd date once you’ve established that you have some chemistry
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 06:39 AM
1

Very good point - my cousin said as much when we were bellyaching about our dating misfortunes, he’s been a semi pro skier and mountain biker and travelled everywhere solo but he says women he tries to date don’t particularly care about it and he isn’t going to blow his own trumpet as though they should Maybe improv classes would be beneficial since being funny is a huge boon (even tho it’s subjective) But I’ve probably raised the bar unrealistically high
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 06:36 AM
1

Well the other way of looking at it is: If I can’t even sit down and have conversation with her over coffee or a drink for an hour or two then that tells me all I need to know upfront so we can part ways whilst a fun activity might conceal the fact we aren’t very compatible because we’re enjoying the activity, also I’ve had a few activity dates where we don’t mesh but we’re stuck doing the activity whilst over coffee you can just wrap it up quickly But maybe you’re right and the coffee / dinner …

That’s actually an astute point - I forget how easy the process is when there’s strong investment on their side because it seems that these situations are few and far between

Yeah fair point altho being a good conversationalist is subjective too right, I know some people who would consider themselves good conversationalist but I would rather be put in a room with a starving polar bear than with them
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 02:38 AM
2

I agree ( although I think tate is a vile scumbag) but similarly a great author can make a banal story seem enthralling whilst a poor author can make an exciting story seem dull, so one’s storytelling ability and communication style is a big factor besides having the raw experiences
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 02:01 AM

as someone with adhd who’s easily distracted I actually find dinner dates are better because I can focus my attention on her and our conversations not on things passing me by and all the smells and sights and sounds and running into somebody I know. My deep conversations with friends usually centre around hatred of religion, the many flaws in human nature and ontologically I lean in the direction of nihilism and antinatalism which I know doesn’t lend itself to particularly uplifting or flirtatious conversation but I’ll remember to ask more personal questions Sometimes I realise I don’t really care what the other persons answer is and I guess that’s a good touchstone not to bother with that particular question and ask something I’m actually …

Thanks for shedding some light with examples too, I can understand why women would want this in a guy obviously but at the same time fuck its asking for quite a lot especially if being a spontaneous socialite renaissance man isn’t in your nature - maybe it’s just been my experience but most women I’ve tried dating haven’t exactly pulled their weight in this regard and I’ve been expected to do nearly all the planning, surprising, entertaining, and it gets exhausting. What if you’re more introvert…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 01:07 PM

My desire for them fades as well, same as it does with any friend or hobby that I spend too much time with - frankly I'm surprised so many couples remain together, especially those where it doesn't actually seem like they have much of an underlying friendship The problem is many partners are going to want to see you more often than that and might take things the wrong way
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 09:54 AM

That's all well and good but you can't deny that there's a huge portion of women who seek drama and love intense emotional fluctuations - I don't want it to be true but the proof is in the pudding and I've seen it play out before my eyes plenty of times. Yeah these aren't the types of women I want to end up with but the fact is being low reactive / cool headed and on the stoic side as opposed to say some opiniated loudmouth or melodramatic jersey shore character does get you labelled dull by man…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 09:51 AM

like pulling a hare out of a hat? I just front with my natural humor, ask questions to learn more about her and try to make sure we both have a good time, what more should I be doing?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:30 AM
6

I feel like spontaneity is definitely important but that's backfired for me in the past (not with dating per se but in other contexts) so do you have any general guidelines for that?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:08 AM
1

Fair enough but in what contexts would you proactively pursue a guy? What if you saw a really attractive guy in public? Or sitting adjacent at the bar? Or just someone you meet through friends or work?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 10:05 PM
1

Kinda strange people prefer those over real life encounters but I guess being hit on in public by pushy people you’re not attracted to isn’t much fun
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 10:02 PM
2

Yeah that’s understandable just that those opportunities don’t pop up very often for me - I’ve tried volunteering and team sports and stuff but never met anyone who I had mutual attraction with that way so sometimes I feel like taking a chance when I see someone I find attractive in public but I realise it’s a long shot
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 09:28 PM

Well the women I know like this more often than not end up dating someone and often someone of questionable character
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 02:49 AM

When it’s said of one’s appearance it usually means they just have a certain style which may be a compliment if that’s what you’re going for - when it’s said of one’s demeanour that usually means they’re considered slimy
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 04:43 PM

I will say on dating apps it seems to be higher than it’s ever been and more than it was a few years back but it’s still entirely possible to connect with women and offline it’s not nearly as high as it is online
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:13 PM

Im not sure I understand the point, you assert that a man’s looks and dick are of foremost importance but the George Clooney example doesn’t seem to support that? He’s desired for his suave demeanour and celebrity mystique more than his looks, in fact he’s actually not anything particularly special to look at
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:12 PM

Yeah especially in formative years - I’d say even one early bit of romantic exposure helps a lot but that’s not to say people who don’t have that have missed the boat

I meant extreme political incorrectness that goes beyond what’s reasonable Very few people would be completely politically correct and if they are they’re a boring cunt indeed because it’s almost incompatible with having a sense of humour But also right wingers seem to be just as over sensitive, if you criticise their sky daddy or their supreme leader Hitler orangutan scumbag or their misinterpretation of the amendments their five braincells fly into a rage

Not moderating your language or content for the setting or context say swearing like a sailor around a ladies parents or bringing up sexual topics when it’s likely to make people uncomfortable because you don’t really give a shit
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 04:22 AM

Nothing and that’s why I wants sure why the other guy was bringing sex into it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 04:20 AM

I’m saying I’m not morally opposed to promiscuity or nymphomania so I’m not sure why they implied that I was against sexuality
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 03:48 AM

I exhibit all these things too on occasion but I’m referring to guys who push it to the extreme all the time as a fixture or their personality, I’m sure you’ve met guys like that. Btw what’s your advice for using vulgarity when flirting?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 03:47 AM
0

Well your last comment is what leads me to believe that many women would take a fucking didkhead over a guy they consider boring, not just for a one done fuck but for a relationship, and it seems like guys who aren’t really boring can be interpreted that way when they’re compared to the assholes So being even a bit boring is just about the worst thing a guy can be
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 03:45 AM
1

Maybe I shouldn’t refer to it as masculinity but some sociopathic take on it that involves extreme aggression, misogyny, vulgarity etc if you’ve never encountered that at a bar or even in school you must have been living blind
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 03:40 AM

Nothing wrong with sex or nymphomania and promiscuity but surely you can take a step back and think ‘this person clearly doesn’t really respect me, they don’t treat their friend very well either, they got really aggressive toward the bartender, made an awful comment about women… they can go fuck themselves’ Guys also put up with disrespectful bullshit from women - I’ve used a female friend tinder account and brutally insulted guys but they were still keen to meet up. Wish people didn’t put up wi…

One revelation as I’ve gotten older is many of the people I know outwardly have it together are broken inside in major ways, some people are just great at masking it Some extremely productive and successful people I know have quite glaring issues beneath the surface that have compelled them to be productive but still aren’t healthy
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:52 AM
2

But why don’t I ever hear anyone admit that they’re attracted to aggression machismo etc even if only for casual sex? It creates a situation where the walk never lines up with the talk and guys are left scratching their heads because the next guy is doing everything they’re cautioned against and getting away with it or sometimes even being rewarded for it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:43 AM

You may not be able to rationalise raw lust but as a member of the worlds most intelligent species you should be able to refrain from allowing it to cloud your judgement so much you pursue someone disrespectful and get dragged into their bullshit
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:40 AM

If I meant sexuality I would have said so. I mean aggression, swearing constantly, being reckless, making crass comments about women and gays and stuff, having no subtlety or tact etc. these guys are often more sexually forward but I thought the other behaviours would cancel it out
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:46 AM

I know a lot of women are feral beneath the facade but weirdly even the ones who I know enough to know they aren’t like that still seem to gravitate toward guys who are

I think a lot of the latter group are struggling to meet women and get gaslit and told they must not really be nice or genuine
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:35 AM

You can’t argue that looks are the only thing that matter but I would argue that most women value attributes that they wouldn’t really like to admit to

Almost every time I go to pubs, clubs, guys from high school, some guys my female friends have been with .They aren’t all guilty of all those things but a few of them
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:15 AM

well I know for a fact that tactics like going hot and cold, blatantly flirting with other women in front of them, negging, being a bit aggressive etc can work at least to make certain women more sexually interested - I’ve seen it. To me being confident is simply not being afraid to express yourself and sticking to your opinions and principles, none of the other bullshit

I’d say most women arent great at assessing a guys inner character and are easily beguiled by outer confidence at least the women I know That begs the question how does one exude confidence when life isn’t going their way and they don’t have much to be confident about?

I appreciate you trying to help (I think?) and undoubtedly my ego gets involved in my views as everyone’s does but this is one area where I believe that the evidence is strongly stacked in favour of the conclusion that many people are pretty terrible judges of character, and too idealistic or naive or self loathing to read the writing on the walls when it comes to relationships I’m not sure why pointing out the hypocrisy irrationality and nonsense in the dating world gets you automatically label…

You mean to say players and bad boys don’t care? They may not care about hurting someone’s feelings but clearly getting women is a cornerstone of their self esteem so on some level they do care about the outcome. I think some women are attracted to their general brash attitude though, on some subconscious level they can’t easily explain
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:56 PM

Fair point. I guess it explains it, I just don’t know how people can still be so blind to the warning signs they are always present if they cared to read the writing on the walls - most abusive guys I know aren’t half as good at masking their true colours as they seem to think they are. And we’ve all read and watched horror stories. So it goes

I Diametrically disagree; coffee dates are cheap, convenient, offer an easy escape route if things go south, and they are the best barometer to determine potential chemistry… If you can’t enjoy coffee together it probably definitely isn’t going to work. Au contraire with activity dates one runs the risk of misattributing their enjoyment to the other person when it was more so the context, and they can be quite uncomfortable if done on a first date with someone who is essentially a stranger as I’…

Yeah I worded it poorly but I’ve just found it difficult to reignite the flame on say a date after we’ve segued onto a more serious and vulnerable topic - I can see how for some women they probably saw me as a better potential long term partner after demonstrating my emotional intelligence but with most women it seems that such a conversation changed the nature of the date after which it was more deep but less sexual and whilst I love deep conversations i have to notice that they aren’t that con…

I hear your point and it’s well made but you’re tilting at a slight strawman because I’m not referring to a guy blubbering because his girl dumped him, but expressing any vulnerability seems to backfire - even expressing indecision such as being undecided about where I want my career to head. It seems that most would prefer blind confidence, which is half the reason humanity is as fucked as it is, when you have ultra confident yet incompetent scum like trump getting elected on the back of that b…

I personally could never consider myself to be close friends with someone whom I didn’t feel I could share my troubles with - I have a few acquaintances who I don’t bother discussing such things with but when it comes to a partner there is no question that if they aren’t willing or able to handle the lows in life then there is no way it will work. I find it sad that in the 21sr century people are still so guarded around their partners
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 08:16 AM
1

But why does it work? That’s what I want to know Considering how much of a turnoff emotional expression is (unless it’s passionate and positive) then why does sulking, being aggressive or annoyed or going cold beguile women into sleeping with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 08:08 AM
1

Isn’t that half the fucking point of having a partner? So you can learn and support each other? Or do most people just want regular sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 08:06 AM
2

But these manchildren are often rewarded for being that way thus reinforcing histrionic behaviour - if goes beyond just being fun and entertaining, I’ve seen it in action, the way they love bomb then go cold then sulk and take the other person for a rollercoaster ride which they don’t seem to want to get off of - meanwhile condemning emotional expression in more mature ways (talking frankly about something that’s troubling one for instance)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 04:26 AM

But many of the best and most real conversations I’ve had revolve around self doubt and negative emotions. If there are so many more men on dating apps then assuming they’re not all cheaters that means there must be loads of single ladies trying to meet guys the old fashioned way… it sure as fuck doesn’t feel like it when I’m out, and I’m a tall handsome guy

There has to be more to it than that though. Surely being non-needy only seals the deal when they're already very into you

Im sure most guys are horny deadbeats but you mean to say that there aren’t ever any decent men who reach out to women on social media or dating apps? Having to sift through the dross to find the gold seems like the slightly better problem to have But I will concede that being a big guy I never really worry about my personal safety (although I had a friend who was robbed and beaten when he met up with a girl from tinder)

Unless you’re a show pony flaunting your wealth posing in Versace shirts and sports cars which I would never do anyway then how would anyone even know? And I realise women who are looking for more than sex often end up being lied to and hurt but it seems like the slightly better of two problems, although they have to worry about their physical safety which I sympathise with

It is quite a distinct dynamic though. At least with friends and my current employment situation I can just be myself unapologetically - this doesn’t cut it with women or at least there’s a whole hidden web of bullshit you have to wade through and being yourself is like playing on hard mode I’ve got adequate social skills I just don’t want to partake in the stupid farce of conventional courtship or any comparable social dynamics (popularity contests at work and so on)

Sometimes you just want to get laid or be intimate and you realise you have to play the game right to get to that do naturally you’re going to be invested in if
/r/seduction11/06/23 02:13 AM

I meant just because were naturally attracted to a certain type of person say bad boys doesn’t mean we shouldn’t challenge that, and nobody says you can’t but there seem to be a lot of people who accept it without challenge as if their destiny or something
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 04:22 PM

We can still refuse to be with anyone who doesn’t treat us with due respect
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 03:02 PM

Technically we all are but it does seem that quite a few women I meet typify that girls just wanna have fun shit even if it comes at a hefty price
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 02:55 PM

If you can’t look past it than no I’d say you have to find someone you’re more attracted to - I personally couldn’t be intimate with someone if I wasn’t attracted to their body but a lot of people can I guess

But it shouldn’t hold the same connotations as say being a superficial person who doesn’t care for deeper level thinking or emotional connection or anything it’s just to say that I need to be really attracted to someone for a romantic relationship to work
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 03:39 PM

Devils avocado: Self esteem isn’t enough, you need to peacock to stand out in the crowd as most people value fake bravado (insecurity) over quiet confidence … younger women are notoriously guilty here Not all people are diamonds deep within either, some people really are just unlikable to most people and needs to thoroughly work on developing their character, sense of humour, interests, communication style etc
/r/seduction09/06/23 09:36 AM

Yeah it can get quite nasty, I’m fortunately tall and quite attractive but I’ve got a short porky little friend and he’s been dealt some harsh blows before. Especially when you consider that without makeup or any beautifying products or work done most women are very plain

You’re allowed to be upset but accept that it’s just the nature of the game - plus weight is often something that’s usually controllable

Most guys who like chubby women keep it to themselves and may even force themselves to date someone fit from fear of being ridiculed by their friends. I'm a fit guy who likes chubby women (not curvy but chubby belly etc) and I've become more open about it lately - it turns out one of my friends is the same and I never would have guessed it. The hardest thing is convincing women that you're really into them.

I’ve watched a lot of his videos, but I’m not sure why it’s assumed that if you’re not being an outspoken aggressive guy you’re hiding in fear - what about the healthy middle ground where a guy has empathy will approach women but in moderation and he doesn’t want to make them uncomfortable? One of the reasons I hesitate sometimes is because I have more social awareness than some guys who apparently don’t care if they make other uncomfortable or don’t even realise it. Which often comes back to bite women in the asses when the aggression becomes overbearing but then these guys typically don’t have long term healthy relationships anyway which I think should always be the goal. I also think most women worth being with long term will respond better to less typical aggressive behaviour but they’re fewer and farther between

It’s like walking along a razors edge over a minefield isn’t it Then you meet emotionally inept buffoons with girlfriends and… well I guess they’re the types of guys who are (for some reason) naturally appealing and didn’t need to try and think it all through

I’m not sure why you and so many others are under the assumption that I am being unhinged or was referring to that sort of behaviour. She could bring up depression, and I could mention that I’ve battled the blues and am currently seeing a therapist - she will praise my bravery and there will be an empathetic connection formed in that moment BUT I can practically see the fire in her eyes flicker out as she sees me less as a sexual prospect and more as a confidant - that’s what I’m getting at
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 02:34 PM

Im 6’4 and muscular, often more relatively attractive than the women I have dates with so I don’t think my looks are holding me back or at least they shouldn’t be

I’m not talking about trauma dumping just casually mentioning that you see a psychologist have adhd etc if the conversation moves onto that topic or they ask you yet even that hasn’t done me any favours - I can see women thinking oh cool he’s so open and unashamed about things like that but also hmm I’m not sure I actually want to be with this guy - it also makes you come across as a better friend but disqualifies you from being a lover
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 11:28 AM
8

I feel like even talking about mental health struggles in an objective way can backfire though (despite the popular narrative about normalising that sort of conversation h And I feel like even being too animated can be unattractive.

Belly fat is sexy in my opinion - unfortunately most women act like it’s cancer
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 04:03 AM
1

Well firstly I’m only into about 1 in 50 women all things considered I need to be both highly attracted physically and emotionally to justify even wanting to fuck them these days, but as it stands I’m looking for more than just casual sex. I have an active enough social life but it’s not putting me in touch with the women I find attractive or not often enough at least. But also do women really want a guy who treats them like an option? Surely most self respecting women don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/23 03:18 PM
1

Many women also feel entitled to sulk or berate a man and imply he’s homosexual etc if he doesn’t want to fuck her for a valid reason - I’ve experienced this first hand. Oh and asking for consent is a turnoff in reality. They’re just plaster saints who want to look virtuous and classy on the outside Not all women but a lot of them
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/23 10:52 AM
1

That’s a bit of a strawman - someone can have a fantastic rich life and make dating their primary focus because they want to find someone to share it with. I didn’t date any long term because I have high standards and I didn’t feel enough compatibility with any
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/23 10:25 AM

Well Imagine admonishing someone because they’d rather just focus on walking
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/23 03:36 AM

Unless you approached your partner and made all the moves your point refutes itself And there are many men out there who are more suited to you than your partner even if you like to believe otherwise - perhaps you never met one because they believed their efforts would be unwanted
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 11:34 PM

If men collectively called a moratorium on their lust and sexual pursuit for a month I guarantee many women would become even more offended than they are when they’re being sexually objectified. They can’t have their cake and eat it too, which it seems to me is exactly what so many women are seeking to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/23 11:29 PM

Because there is another path… some of us don’t allow lust and shallow emotions to rule and risk completely disrupting their life? And you cite an extreme hypothetical but even then no, I wouldn’t allow lust and sex to completely cloud my judgment if I could see it leading to a major fall of some sort - as a matter of fact I’ve been in a comparable situation and whilst some guys will and do say I threw away a great opportunity, I’m proud of the way I acted because sleeping with the woman would h…

I mean not to terrify you any further but I lived with a guy for a month and thought he was genuine and upstanding, then he tried to kill my cousin and abducted her dog - it's essentially impossible to know someone's true intentions and some people are masters at playing the right facade. I guess you have to take the leap of faith if you wish to connect with someone but I can sympathize that for most women it's more about their safety than their ego

I've heard the analogy that when you come across a snake in the wild you have to assume it's venomous. But ultimately where does this leave us? Yeah they’re the termites in my analogy, but I still think too many women become too vocally scornful of men approaching - I’ve had women tell me that even nightclubs aren’t places to openly approach women because they’re just trying to have a fun night out with their friends not uncomfortable conversations with strangers and that plays on my mind. Although I realise that women have to consider their safety with every interaction and possible interaction at least far more than men do which I can…

The many women I know dating lazy / ambitionless / abusive guys suggests otherwise I think women have been more pressure to partner up and they know their biological clock is ticking faster than men’s And what’s your definition of low value? When I think of the guys I know who approach women the most they’re not better people than the ones who never do - they’re worse

I guess so although It’s not just higher = worse I prefer a chubby belly on a girl and I cant stand abs, and as I found out my best friend is the same while my best female friend prefers dad bods

I don’t mean to infantilise women but many men myself included are regularly cautioned against approaching - the consensus among my female friends is that they don’t appreciate it and it’s always in the forefront of my mind that they might just be politely talking but wanting me to fuck off. Then there’s the fact that to stand out in most social environments one needs to do a certain level of peacocking and chest thumping and so arrogance and overconfidence ends up reigning supreme - it’s not im…

I agree but then the em(pathetic) part of me begins to consider things from their pov and how unsettled it might make them because they’re just trying to go shopping or work the bar etc and I convince myself not to in all but a few cases where they’re giving very obvious interest Also how does one be direct without coming across as too pushy?

Yeah though It’s still possible to achieve ambitions without compromising integrity and that’s what I’ve set my sight on doing because I want to exude the values I would expect others to operate with and hopefully reinforce them in even just one person

/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 12:07 AM

I get your point but to say that only Adonis is capable of attracting women these days and women are as destructive as possible is absurd, and whilst the feminism movement can get extreme, look at how powerless women were through history

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 03:14 AM

So why do they feel this way with certain guys whilst devaluing other guys who are better in reality? What separates these guys who manage to make women feel this way I wonder
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 01:51 AM

But women aren’t the ones complaining about how high men’s standards are and how every guy has endless options
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 01:48 AM

women are sexual creatures as well but where are you getting these supposed facts from? Outside of some fucking ghettos or slimy college frat/sorority most women aren't willing to share a man and wouldn't identify as being in a relationship as with a man when they haven't made it exclusive
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 09:10 AM

This might account for up to about 5% but I highly doubt that like 30% of women are in some 'harem' with a fuckboi who they believe they're dating. And if by some chance that is the case then this whole thing is somehow even more of a fucking shitfest than I gave it credit for.

Something I can't help but notice is that a lot of outward extroverted chads and stacys if you will actually have quite lacking social skills and often say things that are uncalibrated or rude, but they get away with it through sheer confidence, whereas if some mopey timid guy were to say the same thing people would mock them for it.

Interesting theory, I agree somewhat. What I find interesting is how many people seem to be of the belief that being melodramatic and loud and peacocking makes them interesting or at the very least not boring - the fact is when this sort of behaviour is so commonplace and it’s not bolstered by unique hobbies, interests, views, idiosyncrasies and the like then these types bore the shit out of me - take your average reality tv contestant who’s always shouting and crying and embroiled in drama… beh…

Depends how you define masculinity. If your definition is that of being aggressive, tenacious and hyper sexual then yeah count me out that’s not my nature - if your definition is being self-assured, level headed, independent minded, self-reliant, unafraid of challenging popular opinions etc then I’d say I am. For a casual fuck and duck arrangement it makes sense that women would be draw to a man who exudes sexual passion and virility (also helps them abdicate guilt) but the thing I struggle to c…

Yet you can’t actually point out exactly what’s misogynistic and rather just dismiss it all as some bitter tirade Saying many women seem to be attracted to asshole behaviours isn’t misogyny, I don’t think they’re inferior because of this and I think the opprobrium ultimately lies with the man for stopping to such lows
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 11:14 AM

I don’t ( besides a bit of experimenting with the way I messaged on dating apps) but many guys will do what it takes to get laid, hell a lot of world leaders will risk everything to get their dicks wet so I can’t see this changing on a broader scale any time soon
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 10:55 AM
9

Refer to my last sentence since you clearly didn’t bother to read it, but the sad truth is that for whatever reason it works more than it doesn’t and therefore guys become programmed to behaving that way - many people will be as shit as they’re allowed to get away with being and it reinforces itself like a perpetual shit motion machine
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 10:52 AM
17

Yeah I’m not sure why being respectful is consider spineless and boring to so many people, to me it’s a matter of having empathy and putting their comfort ahead of your sexual desire, and if this comes across as predictable and boring that speaks to the way society has become conditioned
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 10:37 AM

So where on earth do I meet the women who leave the apps because bars and clubs aren’t my thing and whenever I try volunteering or classes there’s very rarely any single women who I’m mutually attracted to and it feels a bit slimy to hit on them in that setting
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 10:24 AM

But the boundaries have shifted especially in dating apps and bars and clubs where women are being swamped with men, you basically have to puff your chest up and pound it to get any attention, then be loud and brash and direct and any subtlety is lost in the fray - plus it seems that most women simply respond better to insults (even quite brutal ones) than to politeness. I like vulgarity too when it’s fits the bill and I should stress that I’ve never been a doormat or an asskisser to anybody, I’ve even cut loose women who I thought weren’t respecting by time or who seemed stupid or bigoted etc but I got better mileage when I experimented with being a prick calling women out saying things like “jeez I’ve met pot plants that were funner to talk to than you” and it seems to trigger some defensive reaction where suddenly they’re vying for my approval - I don’t do it…

Thats not an insult just an observation of what most women find sexy - and I think it’s valid to express frustration with how quite a large portion of women would rather get into bed with a brash egotistical prick than a guy who they deem to be a bit too polite and meek. I know there’s evolutionary biological and social reasons behind it but in practice it reinforces the wrong behaviours.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 09:55 AM
14

Why do you and everyone else here equate respectful guys with being spineless pushovers? You can stand up for yourself and not tolerate any bullshit whilst still being polite and putting their comfort first and foremost, yet in most peoples minds there’s either the asshole or the boring cowardly loser who’s even more pathetic than the asshole. My frustration is how being a regular respectful guy doesn’t seem to get the results that being quite an asshole does
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/23 09:51 AM

Maybe not but there's still some enormous contradictions and almost every woman I've ever talked with regarding dating apps say they've been inundates with disrespectful messages, yet I've garnered more positive responses when I've experimented with being a brash asshole, even with women who seem wholesome and it makes my head spin.

1) I should have contextualized on dating apps - check most threads and you'll see such generalizations being made often enough that I took the liberty of generalizing myself 2) And I never said it does, but are those not widely desired qualities that should help one to connect? 3) In the west then. Unless my entire conception of courtship and relationships is upside down. 4) I'm just calling a spade a spade - it's quite indisputable that those qualities are sexually desirable among many women. …

Of course, but is that really the hidden motive of 100% of guys who appear to be caring and courteous? I bloody well hope it's not anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 10:17 AM

How about a genuinely nice person? Apparently in some people's minds they don't even exist and are merely trying to slither into women's pants. But I can also appreciate that a genuinely nice guy might be a bit boring compared to a dramatic asshole which could be a dealbreaker depending on your personality type.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 10:15 AM
1

Understandable, but can you help me understand the phenomenon whereby half my female friends including my own sister are dating guys who treat them like fuckmeat/toddlers and even go so far as to make excuses for their behavior? What I read on this subreddit is always so far removed from the reality of many people's situations that I'm exposed to.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 02:32 PM

Why do you insist on conflating care and courtesy with groveling for sex though? I know this is a slimebag tactic used by some guys but it seems that one can't even describe themselves as a genuinely caring and considerate person without being struck with insinuations that they must be trying to weasel their way into women's pants.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 02:24 PM
1

Yeah, it's heinous how you're considered a nice guy whenever you suggest that your caring nature is working against you, as though they're trying to protect their egos by convincing themselves that any nice guys are actually assholes deep down as well so at least upfront assholes are honest about it.

I've read several essays and articles written by transgender people who have experienced life as both men and a women, and I find their perspectives on sexism very interesting. 1) I work hard to get the first date because before that she doesn't have much to judge you on - if she's not interested after that then I cut ties 2) Sometimes valid excuses come up, I've had to cancel dates because of sickness or injury, so if they make an effort to reschedule I'll take their word for it and assume they're interested

I think a lot of guys just run this checklist for marriage/LTR Am I sexually attracted to her? Is she low enough maintenance and ok to spend time with? Is she likely to cheat on me? Does she have low enough body count? Things like aligning ambitions, views, family aspirations etc are probably subsidiary to these in many cases
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/23 06:57 AM

I find holding hands to be more intimate than kissing tbh. It seems like something that usually happens more at a latter stage of a relationship.
/r/seduction16/04/23 10:07 AM

Easier said than done in this current climate tho - unless you're really a handsome bastard or have serious money/status then being aloof doesn't seem to get you anywhere anymore. A lot of guys are horny, sexually pent up and believe their self-worth is tied to their body count, so they'll jump through flaming fucking hoops for women...and to be honest it's not just the simps... look at the world leaders who risk everything to fuck their intern.

Could you imagine what would happen if all men collectively agreed to sexually ignore women for a month? Either there would be a huge surge in lesbianism as we realize we have made a fatal mistake, or they would actually start to pull their weight and the playing field would level out.
/r/seduction15/04/23 10:50 AM

yeah 'niche' crowds can be more insufferable than boring mainstream crowds. I can't help but feel that a lot of the cool, interesting women are chilling at home and don't go out to many events at all.

Once you sleep with the girl, and especially sleep with her a few times, she will most likely want a relationship. That is when the power dynamics shift, and you can be the leader and dictate the terms of the relationship, if you so choose and if you know how, for the rest of the time you spend with her. Yeah I've noticed this, and I assume it's how so many scumbags have women wrapped around their pinkies.. but reaching this point seems harder than ever before, like I was doing better with datin…

Not for me personally, but I know guys who have stayed with legitimately crazy women because they find them sexy. And some guys will risk their career and their reputation for casual sex. And I think this mentality is largely what caused things to be so distorted.

I would argue most women don't either because it's the peacocking displays of outward manliness that arouse most attention. The REAL independent guys are usually quieter and their strength is discovered not announced... this doesn't work so well in a fiercely competitive landscape though

I'm not sure the percentage exactly but it's a minority - these men just have more exposure to and leave a bigger mark on women. I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze - I love my analytical side, and most the time with friends I'm scathing people and politics and religion and I find it very enjoyable, so the thought of surrendering that to be someone who just feels and vibes doesn't sit well at all with me. But I guess I'll try to be aware of this and dial it down when I'm trying to flirt with people
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 09:27 AM

I think the issue is when we subconsciously communicate that we're playing a game of chess so we don't come across as natural - there are few things less attractive than that. I've had about 40+ dates and I always figured the more experienced I racked up the more natural it would feel but I can't say that's proven to be true at all. Sometimes I enjoy the game but usually I just find it exhausting. Oh well, I guess that's what we have to do if we want to romantically connect with people

I think you're onto something. My thoughts are so outlandish that if I just spoke my mind I would almost definitely lose my job and end up getting a drink thrown in my face. Filtering everything makes socializing a lot less fun though.

Interesting point - I work with a guy who's like that too. He's used to fronting bands and entertaining, so he's really charismatic around people but when you're having a one to one with him you can tell he feels the heat au contraire I'm the complete inverse - much better one to one than in group settings...it's obviously just tough to actually get one on one when meeting people out though. I'm glad you've embraced your natural persona too. We just need to play our hand the best way that we can

Or the ability to empathize without truly caring for the other parties wellbeing - I'd say the best sociopaths are able to do this, since lacking empathy completely just makes you obtuse.

It's an interesting duality. It seems that the biggest players out there aren't the he-men but have a feminine side they can tap into for greater empathy, even if their aim is just to fuck and duck. Virility + Anima.

The brutal truth. I don't like to add my voice to the carping choir who cry incessantly that looks are everything and women breed assholes, but sometimes the proof is in the pudding and it's undeniable. That's not to say your brother is an asshole, but his worst traits seem to be the most rewarded right. And the fact he has never really had to develop a compelling personality or sense of humor to attract women will never not be infuriating to anyone who has and still struggles. I'm 6'5 and muscu…

The even uglier answer seems to be that the sexual selection process and society at large tends to reward the 'wrong' traits e.g. braggadocio, guile, egotism while overlooking better ones.

I'm only unintentionally funny. No I would say I'm funnier than the average guy (whatever that means) but I have a polarizing form of humor - it's dry, scathing and irreverent, not cute and flirty. Sometimes it's interpreted as being too negative and killing the vibe. How does your friend flirt?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 08:47 AM

You sound like the female version of me haha. I also find a deep engaging conversation to be more intimate than sex to be honest - you can pay a hooker for the latter but the former requires a rare kind of chemistry. Unfortunately deep conversation is considered to be the opposite of sexy in many people's minds but I would love to go from discussing ancient greek philosophy to fucking without bothering with all the stupid flirty nonsense. But I can't expect to meet many people who see eye to eye…

Suppose you're right. I just find it interesting how flirting - which I see as a subcategory of social skills - can allude me even though I have quite well developed social skills.

If naturals were outcome independent they wouldn't put so much time and effort into chasing tail. These guys have a laisses-faire facade but believe me when they go through a dry patch their entire persona changes and they get desperate and agitated. For most players getting women is the cornerstone of their identity so failure to do so causes them to crumble. At least this is what I've observed

It's also frustrating because it's perhaps the single most important skill for a young man to have and yet it's something that many struggle to acquire even after years of learning and practice

Yeah I guess it's just mysterious because I have developed my other social skills well but flirting is still my Achilles heel, and unfortunately that's the one demographic I'm most interested in appealing toward. /r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 08:31 AM

17 and it wasn't a particularly pleasant one (It was a house party that turned into effectively an orgy so I actually tried to fuck 3 women in a park at like 2am while drunk but couldn't get hard most likely a combination of whiskey dick and nerves plus these women were a bit older) I agree that early experiences can be very formative though, one lovely girlfriend might have changed everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:49 AM

I would hope that most people could still see it for what it is though Reinforces the theory that creepiness is all relative - imagine the sort of disrespectful stalkerish shit Harry styles could get away with for instance.

It's a similar deal when I say almost anything to a woman in public though, even just asking the time when my phone died at a festival where you would expect people to be more sociable. Sometimes I can tell they're attracted to me but the situation itself has them on high alert. I guess that's jut how it is these days.

This is a symptom not the sickness itself (atomization, hyperreality, decline of social skills, less need for networking offline)

I used to be an amateur bodybuilder. At one point I was 110kg with low body fat (I'm 6'5 though) and guess what - that was the most insecure phase of my life. I was constantly comparing my body to other guys and felt inferior in many ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 05:31 AM

Without seeming needy? Why do you think people love bomb? They're insecure and terrified of losing someone and want to lock them down asap or they want sex or they want their money there is always a strong need
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 04:17 AM

I don't think these guys are masterful manipulators so much as they are just volatile and they naturally push and pull people away depending on their mood, at least my experience with some player types. And the reason push and pull doesn't seem to work so well for guys who consciously implement it is because it's not in their nature to be unpredictable like that so it comes across as more contrived.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 07:28 AM

If a lady is in the mood for sex and the guy isn't she's within her right to subtly or not subtly berate him and make him feel emasculated etc but if a guy is in the mood when the lady isn't then he has to leave it be lest he be considered a pest I've bought this up with quite a few guys and they all agree that it's a pretty accurate with their experiences

I remember a few jock types at a party talking about how they don't bother with foreplay and they kick her out after they came in her. Yeah congrats, she probably had the worst sex of her life. If their ego is so fragile you would think that pleasuring her would be a higher priority for them

I usually only find 2 or 3 women in any given club to be sexy enough to warrant pursuing so that's not going to be an issue - but there are lots of very tall good (better) looking guys than me where I live and honestly where I'm from (Australia) the women are known for having a bit of a superiority complex so it's still not a walk in the park, especially when they're in their packs and I'm solo
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 10:32 AM

I've never been attracted to toned/muscular women. Tried to fuck one, my dick was flaccid the whole time. On the other hand I find slightly chubby women with big tits to be by fat the sexiest. Why aren't people allowed to have preferences?

I guess there are singles events but they're few and far between here - I'm goin to the next one just to see what it's like but I'll be surprised if it's not dominated by guys and has a weird atmosphere. Bars and clubs seem to be this weird space where it's like most people are out to have fun and meet others yet they can be really cliquey and standoffish toward others who try to mingle with them.

But that's the thing - when I'm not consciously trying to flirt and come across as sexy I end up going 100% platonic and oversharing personal things and ruining any chances I might have had, because flirting doesn't come naturally to me. Not always. There was a girl who was luke-warm toward me, then one evening we got drinks with some friends and I was in a very witty and intellectual mood, so I was throwing out jokes and interesting discussion, and I could see by the end of the night she was besotted with me. Relationships are not the McDonalds drive through. I very much doubt you have a queue of potential friend to get to know in a first-come-first-served order. It was more of a figure of speech, but people do certainly have rough hierarchies of potential dating prospects in their minds, and it does seem like having some mutual connection bumps people up on this hierarchy to a disproportionate level, in my opinion Someone in your social circle is someone you didn’t have to go alone to meet, or put i…

Good point. I'm reading between the lines - they put themselves out there with more intensity than guy friends when they've become single which seems to defy the stereotype. And I brought this up at work today with a colleague and she admitted or vented that they feel disproportionate amount of pressure to be in a relationship and that women tend to feel uglier when they're sex starved. So now I'm opening up the discussion to the rest of the room.

So what's your advice for being more 'fun' in social settings? I'd consider myself wittier and more interesting than the average guy (this isn't me being self flattering, but based on feedback I've gotten over the years) so I usually do well on dates, I just can't muster the energy to be the life of the party when I'm out. Meanwhile I've got a friend who's generally quieter when we're just hanging out but somehow he comes alive in social settings, I wouldn't say I envy him but I wish I were a bi…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/23 01:45 PM

I've tried being creative and engaging and honestly I barely bother anymore because it was often just a waste of energy. 95% of women I met on dating apps had the conversation skills of a dead fish so it was a one way current of energy, so I would be dragging it along trying to be fun and engaging, then they'd ghost anyway. You can only take so much of that before you throw in the towel

Thing is the PUA types tend not just to stop at pick up lines...everything they say is sexually inflected in some way so it's like talking to a horny chatbot...but apparently it works enough for them so what do I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/23 01:29 PM
3

But how do you apply this practically? I thought most women would receive enough attention that they needn't chase a guy who seems aloof unless he's extremely attractive and they're in a daring mood I'm actually tall and fairly good looking, and I've had nights out with friends where meeting women didn't cross my mind and sure enough I didn't meet any, so I'm not sure how this strategy seems to work for other people
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/23 01:20 PM
4

That's a fair distinction I guess. Maybe it's more reflective of their level of intro/extroversion than confidence, but extroversion isn't exactly easy to feign either. So onto the second question, would you say there are certain personality types who just shouldn't bother with bars and clubs because they will be out of their element, competing against guys who are in their element?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/23 01:09 PM
1

But how do you exude genuine confidence? The most self assured guys I know are quite quiet and could easily be mistaken as being diffident, simply because they don't feel the need to impress or peacock in loud social settings.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/23 12:34 PM

So how do you convey true confidence in typical loud and busy social settings like clubs and bars? It seems that you have to run with the wolves and be loud and brash as well to even get noticed let alone perceived as confident. And nice bukowski quote

If your interpretation of this post was that I just resent all women that essentially adds more credence to my point (whether or not you're a woman)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 02:16 PM

That's an enormous false equivalence. Yes in this case I'm also guilty of making sweeping a generalization which reduces a large group to its lowest denominators but the difference is that women are generally applauded and supported for it, whilst guys typically get told not just to shut the fuck up but told that they're contributing to the problem. That was the essence of my post.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 01:56 PM

And I think that's a valid thing to complain about, peoples idiotic infatuation with status and raw confidence is the reason why so many degenerates ascend to and hold positions of power. This is somewhat like an albatross telling a penguin to flap its wings harder so it can fly. To get to a point where you're constantly consistently going all the way with very attractive women you have to be extraordinarily charming / good looking. /r/seduction17/08/22 08:11 AM
2

I mean physically I'm only sexually aroused by a small amount of women with certain physique and features so It's hard to have an abundance mindset
/r/seduction17/08/22 08:09 AM
1

how did you phrase it btw? did you just ask straight up?
/r/seduction16/08/22 10:30 AM
2

I like that advice but I mean specifically after introducing yourself, what would you talk about? My mind goes completely blank As I said I don't want to talk about her day or about where she grew up or about sex or anything so I'm genuinely not sure what to talk about
/r/seduction16/08/22 10:01 AM

My main issue with game in general is finding where to draw the line between being sexual and wholesome - I seem to either be too far to the latter and end up boring them a bit, then I'll try to over compensate and get a bit too sexual out of nowhere and make them a bit uncomfortable, plus it doesn't help that every girl is different and with online dating I haven't even met them to figure out their vibe. The reason I simp with women on OLD is because I'm a lot better in person than online, and …
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:57 AM

Women only chase me after our first date since I'm better in person than online...the problem is getting them on a bloody date. That's why I'll chase them to get there because at that stage they're not that invested in me, I'm just another guy on a dating app
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:54 AM
1

So maybe I'm coming across as too intense or eager but as I say when I take the cold and distant approach that doesn't work for me either. Maybe I need to find a way to meet more women face to face rather than through OLD But I'm not a bar/clubs type of guy and haven't had the best experiences with day game
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:52 AM
3

My aim was to get them on a date because a) It's pretty hard for a girl to get really invested in a guy she hasn't even met b) I think I'm better in person than online c) Some women are a lot more fun and expressive in person than over text d) I'm not attracted to very many women so when I find one who I am into I really try to connect with her But yeah I mean in some cases it is futile
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:45 AM
1

Yeah I almost never get these questions, I'm lucky to get any questions at all really. Really don't know what it is. My OLD profile is pretty appealing and I get a lot of matches, I don't come across like a simp who tries to get sexual with them immediately, I don't come across like a pushover, I ask them a few fun questions like what their deathrow meal would be and if they had to do a season on a reality show which one would it be etc then get their number or social if tehy don't want to give …
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:42 AM
2

It's probably better but I don't really know where - bars and clubs ain't my scene and last few times I've cold approached women who were out and about they haven't really appreciated it
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:37 AM
2

You're grossed out because a man is complaining that women never reciprocate the energy he puts into connecting with them? You either misinterpreted the post or you have a profound persecution complex/misandrist doctrine that you oughta work on
/r/seduction16/08/22 09:35 AM
2

I wouldn't either but it just happens that women who are actually interested in me and put in effort are virtually never ones who I'm physically attracted. I've tried having dates with women in this category and it's ultimately just a waste of time because there's not enough attraction then I have to come up with an excuse to cut it off
/r/seduction16/08/22 04:54 AM
3

Because sometimes you have to meet up with someone for them to become interested in you, before which you're just a face and words on a screen. Some people are a lot more fun in person too. But yeah, in most cases I shouldn't bother.
/r/seduction16/08/22 04:47 AM
1

I mean it doesn't always take much time out of my life or anything, usually just a week or two later I'll send a follow up, then maybe 3 months later I'll send another one Or if they're just a bit boring but I'm really attracted to them I'll try to get them on a date that week to see if they're different in person or not I almost never meet women I'm actually attracted to who reciprocate my effort unfortunately
/r/seduction16/08/22 04:45 AM
1

Yeah but I genuinely do not know what to do because I've never pulled a woman like that. So I meet her at the bar and we're sitting down sipping a cocktail...do I just start asking her about her craziest sex stories whilst squeezing her ass or something? She obviously doesn't really want a conversation, but the above is probably too vulgar, so should I try painstakingly to talk to her about things like alcohol, travel, pop culture bullshit long enough that I can suggest heading back to my place …
/r/seduction12/08/22 02:14 PM
1

Good points but I've got a few questions for you 1) What sort of relationship and sex questions do you ask? Do you ask them at a restaurant/bar or somewhere more private? 2) Why only 1.5 hours on the first date? Most of mine go for 3 hours + unless I'm really not enjoying it 3) Where do you draw a line between being sexual and being sleazy ?
/r/seduction12/08/22 02:08 PM

I've read most of the literature and whilst there was some value for the most part it actually tarnished courtship in my eyes, it made the whole thing feel like a big ridiculous charade. Having to use false disqualifiers about how I only like her as a friend or some stupid contrivance about how she has to come back to my place so I can teach her guitar so there's plausible deniability even though she knows damn well where the fuck things are going and so forth isn't fun for me, it just seems lam…
/r/seduction12/08/22 02:03 PM

Actually come to think of it I've never fucked a girl who I didn't really enjoy the company of, but that's a good point. If talking to her is like trying to piss out a pebble then I can only imagine how shit the communication will be in the bedroom. Part of me still thinks I'll regret not going for it since she's so sexy and what's the worst that could happen? but I know deep down there's probably no point.
/r/seduction12/08/22 01:53 PM
1

"I can already tell she’s not going to enjoy it." good point, I think we're just on completely different wavelengths. She probably wants a dude who's pure emotional energy and libido whilst I want a woman with substance who I can have engaging conversation with and then cap it off with sex. And there are women out there who want that too. It's just a shame this one is so damn attractive.
/r/seduction12/08/22 01:50 PM
1

Oh I am, but that doesn't mean I can't say fuck it every now and then and have one and done sex with someone who I find physically sexy
/r/seduction12/08/22 01:47 PM
1

Care to elaborate then? I'm not going to try to escalate with a women who isn't giving me a green light. Some guys do, and sometimes it works for them, and sometimes they get charged with sexual harassment, but that's not my style. I've heard female friends talking about how uncomfortable they were on a date or in public and I don't want to be that guy because I didn't read the signs and blazed in there trying to sweet talk her into the sack. Some women make it pretty obvious but others seem to …

What do you mean by less social friction? She just seems like the type of airheaded bimbo I've met 50 times before, perhaps I'm mistaken, but with some people what you see is really what you get.
/r/seduction12/08/22 12:15 PM
2

I don't usually operate like this but this particular woman is extremely attractive and I figured life is short and pretty shit for the most part so might as well try to have a night with her - there's no way I could date someone who's on another wavelength like she is though.

It's partly a dopamine rush and partly a way to feel sexual pleasure when not much else gives it to me because the chances of sleeping with a woman I find really sexy is slim considering how narrow my scope has become - I'll see maybe 2 or 3 women who I find sexy per week, and half the time they're holding a guys hand. I've always had really specific preferences for what I find sexy but porn has made it a lot worse, so I need to try and do something constructive every time I feel the urge to wat…
/r/seduction02/08/22 04:20 PM

That's the issue, I only find very few women sexy and it's not often that I come across these women let alone am able to sleep with them. But I realize you're right, that's probably the best way to get over it. I'll have to put more effort into meeting people

Would you advise me admitting to the next girl I'm with that i'm on antidepressants and my dick isn't working properly to temper her expectations or should I just go with it and see what happens?
/r/seduction31/07/22 07:39 AM

I highly doubt a girl would come out if we had a date planned for sunday and then I messaged her to say hey I'm out with the lads tonight you should come along. Fuck the dynamic of trying to connect with someone in a loud environment with her friends all judging you, and potentially getting jealous. I wouldn't go unless I could bring a friend or two to talk to their friends

Yeah I actually consider myself to have fairly strong social skills in that I can make friends quite easily, but my personality definitely isn't sexy, and as you've said putting myself in a clubbing or raucous environment is like putting a fish out of water and asking it to climb a tree. I do focus on other ways of meeting people these days, including OLD, but they're often just as frustrating, and with classes and volunteer work and things most women I've met haven't even been single. I know a …

Thanks for all that, nice analogy too, I assumed you must've sold cars before you mentioned it to know the tricks of the trade so well. The question I have is, if they do get uncomfortable and you dial back, what's your strategy then? Often that throws me off my game and I don't really try again for the rest of the date hoping to build more rapport so that next time she's more likely to go ahead, but there isn't always a next time. There's a chance she realises she's just not interested, but I t…

Damn I'm most impressed how quickly you had sex upon meeting up again. I would've thought that some degree of social stigma / decorum would have prevented her form wanting to get down before you've made her a drink so she could later console herself that she wasn't slutty just going around for sex and you two were bonding when it just happened blah blah but it sounds like she didn't need to waste time trying to play a mind game with herself. Do you have any advice for making bold moves like that…

Yeah I suppose it's something that comes with practice, but I guess one also have to familiarise themselves with some pop culture and references and stuff so they have things to draw upon. Also I've heard improv classes can help but I've never bothered with them. I know a guy doesn't have to be a master of wit to get a girl - most players I know are actually fairly witless- but it definitely helps and it suits the style I'm going for. It also depends on the girl having a sense of humour too thou…

You can express interest in a way that doesn't sound like an autistic character from super bad walking over to a girl and telling her she has nice boobs or something, surely that's a signal of social ineptitude as well? I'm looking for more examples of how people do that.
/r/seduction23/07/22 04:04 AM

The thing is usually convince myself that it's not worth the risk - especially at work, which I guess is fair enough, but then my mind also tells me it's a bit too risky on a date because there's a good chance it will backfire (since I have a very dark and florid imagination so the things on my mind usually aren't appropriate). That's probably why I'm more charming when I'm trying not to be or don't really care about the outcome of something. But I can't not care about the outcome of a date with…

Yeah but I'd still like to hear a few examples Or even any scenes in tv shows or movies where the lines are actually smooth and aren't just funny in the context of a sitcom or comedy movie I struggle to balance funny/sexual/wholesome when I flirt

I suppose its contingent on there being enough expressions of attraction before you try something like touching her waist or face I can imagine the guys who complain that they got kicked out of club for trying to escalate were doing it to women who they hadn't even established any mutual attraction with or who had already made it obvious that they weren't attracted, or got very unlucky with one of those women who goes to a club and flirts then turns around and freaks out when guys try to play ba…

Yeah I understand that but It also seems like something which will only add richness if you highly value that sort of thing And it seems like a shallow form of respect - more like cloaked jealousy. I'd rather be respected for my integrity, intellect, reliability etc But I don't have a very high sex drive and I'm looking for a longer term partner so this lifestyle probably isn't my element anyway
/r/seduction22/07/22 03:23 AM

If I just spat out things that made me laugh she would probably think I'm having a psychotic episode, my sense of humor is dark and bizarre and it does not translate well to the upbeat bullshit needed to seduce women, so of course I have to try and consider what she would find funny.

So small sexualization of conversation was telling a girl exactly how you want to fuck her? I know that this is what most women in clubs want to hear, but I feel like I never get to the stage where it's appropriate to be that overtly sexual. In other words you have to crack the fucking da vinci code to get a half drunk girl home from a club? I can see why some guys enjoy the game, but I don't feel like the juice is worth the squeeze.

I don't think so because I'm very transparent and don't put on a facade , on a date I'll usually end up having a deep conversation at some point, last date I ended up telling her about her how my dog was put down accidentally and we talked about our philosophy on life and death, if anything I get too deep Unless you mean something else by vulnerability?

What are some reasons why a girl would lose interest in a guy who's pretty good looking, funny, interesting and charming? We will have a date, laughing and kiss at the end, then often never hear from her again I'm usually pretty good at sensing when the vibe is off but I'm getting blindsided when it seems like we're really meshing well and then nothing.

I just struggle to accept social dynamics; they seem so pathetic and arbitrary - the popular guy says something stupid and the minions laugh, the loser says something funny and nobody reacts, girls falling for the very guys they claim they don't like, people considered nerds for being passionate about anything besides sport and working out, wasting time with pleasantries and nonsense small talk and treating you as odd for trying to introduce an actual topic of discussion, people acting so fake t…

Good to know but I wouldn't feel to good about leveraging the fact that they've been beaten into submission by an overly masculine society either, like I want a girl who's my equal even if I do most the leading around sex and will defend her etc if necessary. I'm masculine in that I'm self assured in my values and opinions and I'll debate anyone on anything, go against the group and the trends, and I've done a few years of kickboxing so I could probably beat the shit out of someone if I had to (or you know defend a lady friend), but I'm not the loud mouth overconfident type of guy that I think most latinas might be into an…

On that note, what separates a guy whos lousy vs good in bed? How long he can last? How well he communicates? How attentive and selfless he is? I know some big players who claim they skip foreplay and just fuck her in positions they like... I'll bet most women they fuck just go along with it but are faking most of their pleasure because most women struggle to orgasm with their partners let alone a stranger who's not bothering to learn about their preferences and not bothering with foreplay.

Yeah good point context is key, but I can't imagine saying some of these lines in any context, even though I know I could probably get away with it. I realize how much of an asshat I sound here but I feel like I have to dumb myself down to connect with most women these days, since my friend group is comprised of guys smarter than I am with sharp banter who enjoy discussing abstract/political/philosophical stuff and since I'm working from home they're the main people I interact with, then suddenl…

Pretty face with a rugged body and perhaps some facial hair to masculinize it is probably most desirable. Some women will prefer a man to be as manly as possible but look at Justin beiber, Harry Styles, Taylor lautner, 90s dicaprio, brad pitt, they're pretty boy.

How would you implement bits of game into your character without abandoning the things that make you enjoyable to be around (the humor and friendliness) and without feeling like you're putting on an act? Because I wouldn't feel accomplished if I got a girl by saying and doing the things that hunterpua told me to say and do, I'd rather know that they were attracted to me deep down, so I only want to modify small aspects of myself at a time so the change feels gradual and sustainable.

The last girl who 'fell' for me did so after I went on an extended monologue about finding meaning in life, I saw the glint in her eyes as I was talking and afterwards she almost had a newfound reverence for me - she was a smart girl who was interested in philosophy though, I imagine it doesn't work so well with a drunken broad smoking outside a bar.

What do those conversations sound like? Just constantly volley of giggling and nonsense? I find that humor hits best when it's surrounded by some seriousness, not just just pure silliness - for instance if the serious guy in your class makes a ridiculous remark its 10 times funnier than if the clown does. Maybe that's just me

Real courtship literature worth reading reinforces the notion of self-development and downplays the need for validation from women and the arms race to sleep wit has many women as possible However, some of those pick up exploits do objectively work on most women, so it would be foolish to completely denounce them if your aim is to sleep with someone. I draw a line with things like the extreme hot and cold approach or compliance tests that seem unnecessary, but a lot of the advice does help.

Little do they know that most women are still evolutionarily engineered to be attracted toward guys with arrogant, aggressive, criminal tendencies because of some atavistic mate selection process that is completely obsolete in modern society.

Interestingly I've noticed the most desirable men (I suppose you could say high value in a sexual context) often use social media pretty sparsely. Maybe 2 or 3 Instagram posts per year and a story every month or so. I think this at least gives the impression that they're too busy to use it much, even if that's not the case.

I can understand it but like... most of us would like to sit on our ass shoveling shit into our mouths and playing video games or watching porn or something effortless and enjoyable but we force ourselves to get up and workout and do shit and ultimately feel better for it Can't these guys see that they're digging themselves deeper into a hole by bombarding women with attention like this? The crazy part is that some of these guys are actually attractive and seem to have decent credentials, yet th…

Yeah, I think that's also a fair argument not to date anyone who you're sort of indifferent toward or unattracted to just to get the rust off the gears or whatever...in my experience it usually feels like a waste of time. It really is hard to get into the mood especially if you've just had a stressful day of talking with engineers at work then you need to transform into a charming gentleman. Ah well, we just do what we can
/r/seduction11/04/22 08:55 AM

Your not a hamster on a wheel, so only do what's sustainable. Life's to be enjoyed, and setting all these conditions for enjoyment seems counterproductive Self compassion involves being firm on yourself but kind enough as well If you want to spend a weekend playing video games, why not?
/r/seduction10/04/22 03:17 AM

Good analogy. I suppose that's why the push and pull technique works, and why really volatile guys often get girls without trying. I saw a discussion about how girls are evolved to be attracted to dark triad traits even though men with these traits (criminals, libertines etc) are disasters for long term relationships, but that women usually come to realise this as they acquire more wisdom through experience. It's just a shame that so many of the girls I find attractive seem to go for questionabl…

Honestly Aussie girls are some of the most conceited women on the planet. I know because I've lived in a few different countries, they often have this natural snarky attitude that really fucking bugs me. Even my female friends are like that, then once you get to know them they open up, but approaching them would be tough.
/r/seduction02/04/22 05:25 AM

So if you think clubs and bars are big rancid pits of sweaty aggressive pricks and arrogant women with awful music and overpriced drinks, and don't enjoy dancing it's probably best to avoid them like the plague right. Also women at bars and clubs don't give a fuck if you've read Dostoevsky and have a doctorate in philosophy...it's just a big meat market
/r/seduction02/04/22 05:21 AM

So say you've endeared yourself with a girl at a bar but her friends are nearby, slightly jealous, watching you two. What should you do in that situation? Try to take her home or get her number and try to set up a date another day?
/r/seduction02/04/22 05:17 AM
4

I'm not sure if the numbers game mentality is that constructive. The mindset breeds a sort of desperation and relegates your status to some chump who will keep approaching the next person like an eager puppy dog until someone throws it a treat. High value would be to pick a target and try your best to make it work, if that doesn't work, reassess, maybe approach someone else, maybe go hang with your buddy, maybe go home and finish reading a book.

"No one just talks about random stuff and hope it makes them get connected." speak for yourself pal But do you really think questions aren't necessary and it should be obvious right away whether we have a connection? Maybe if the intention is to smash and dash, but if I want to get to know her I might need some questions so the conversation doesn't just stagnate on small talk?
/r/seduction31/03/22 06:20 AM
1

Issue is that I enjoy talking about philosophy, politics and critiquing current events and stuff, and I get pretty bored with small talk, so inevitably it's going to come out even with a girl. I think surely part of being a confident person is to be able to stand your ground in an argument though rather than acquiescing? Of course if my opinion differs from the narrative being force fed en masse, which they often do, then I might lose someone who misjudges me to be a bigot of some sort, but I gu…

The lines become a bit blurred though when the evidence suggests many (especially younger) women are biologically attracted to men who exhibit dark triad traits which would be interpreted as toxic. I mean just to approach a woman in public you have to risk unsettling or offending her, unlikely though it may be - and when there are other guys around competing for the same woman it sometimes does call on you to be a bit intense. May as well finish the family off now. Apart from girls being more promiscuous on spring break do you have any advice for how to approach a group solo (which it sounds like you did) and convince one to leave her friends/sister and come home with you? Did you have to make up some excuse about her helping to hold the ladder whilst you changed a lightbulb or did you just say let's go mash our genitals together?
/r/seduction19/03/22 01:47 PM

Well how do you define uniqueness? We're all technically unique, but it's not always manifest if we don't have rare hobbies or passions - and maybe it's inauthentic to force ourselves to be unique in those ways?

What would be an example of an indirect opener you use? And what sort of topics do you chat about with someone you've just met? I'm quite charming and witty but I still feel like a dickhead who's inconveniencing women when I walk up and start talking to them, and I'm not sure what's appropriate to talk about because I don't want to ask all these personal questions as you would on a date, but I don't just want to make small talk about nonsense the whole time either.
/r/seduction04/03/22 05:32 AM
2

My issue isn't my looks, it's that I don't know what the fuck to talk about after I've stopped a girl in the middle of a shopping mall. Do I ask her how her day's going? What her favorite sex position is? What her thoughts are on the geopolitical turmoil in Europe and Asia?
/r/seduction04/03/22 05:29 AM
2

Which settings / venues do you find that women are most happy to chat in? I always feel as though I'm interrupting them, because most people these days are either glancing at their phone or have a "don't talk to me" expression on their face
/r/seduction04/03/22 04:34 AM
1

"You look like you'd have interesting taste in music" "Nah it's pretty basic lol" "Oh in that case I regret talking to you" "hahaha" At this point I simply couldn't be fucked continuing the interaction when I feel like I'm doing all the lifting. It's dawning on me that most guys are just a lot more determined and tenacious with women than I am.
/r/seduction27/02/22 07:52 AM

Yeah although cold reads are more risky in the sense that she could just say 'no' or get annoyed with your assumptions because they can also come across a bit arrogant. Also they require a lot of effort - a conversation full of cold reads is pretty painstaking for the person making them - you have to think of a question, then turn it into a statement that 's a bit funny and a bit wholesome etc which gets exhausting
/r/seduction27/02/22 07:48 AM
2

I hate dancing and aren't a very touchy person so I guess that rules out clubs As for bars, the ones which aren't jam packed full of belligerent dickheads spilling beer on me are ok, but can you give an example of some of the topics you might talk about in a bar? I consider myself pretty witty but that doesn't seem to translate into teasing strangers in busy noisy environments without being too offensive and whilst demonstrating that I'm a decent person
/r/seduction27/02/22 07:45 AM
1

I'm pretty sure if I walked up to a girl and said that she'd smash a glass in my face. I mean you can work up to that eventually but at first I feel like you need a few more normal topics But also girls in Vegas are probably more wild than girls in the clubs in my city
/r/seduction27/02/22 07:41 AM
1

But you need to build that interest. Sometime you need to put in a fair amount of effort to actually differentiate yourself from the pack and prove that you're someone worth getting to know. Especially if you're going with online dating - why would a girl be THAT into you just based on a few pictures of you and some cheesy bio?
/r/seduction26/02/22 02:54 AM
1

I want to believe this but I've very rarely seen 5'6" bald guys with attractive women. I think my country (Australia) actually has more brutal attraction standards - when I was in the US I would see way more 'uneven' couples where one was significantly more attractive than the other conventionally, but over here it does seem to be more of a consideration. Either way, getting off the internet and getting among life will help
/r/seduction22/02/22 12:05 PM

yeah fuck social media. I mean if you have a great social media that's basically a dating passport, but I hate what social media has done to society so I don't want to be part of it
/r/seduction19/02/22 03:12 AM

That's why I theorized that if every man on earth made a pact to ignore women completely for a few weeks, we would see the tides turn pretty quickly I really don't understand how things have becoming do unbalanced given that there's roughly similar number of men and women
/r/seduction19/02/22 03:10 AM
1

It's odd because there's slightly more women than men. Assuming that most these single guys aren't just cheating on their partners, I don't understand why it's so skewed. Does this means there's tons of single women out there who aren't using dating apps and are hoping to meet a guy the old fashioned way?
/r/seduction19/02/22 03:08 AM
3

Women are still valued more heavily on their physical appearance, but that doesn't mean aren't judged harshly - and when you consider how many more options women have and how desperate a lot of guys get, they definitely have it easier.
/r/seduction19/02/22 03:07 AM
1

Yeah I agree, but it still feels like the road to meeting a woman like that has a thousand trapdoors - you may not get the chance to connect with them that deeply because they've already passed on you since you sent too many messages in a row or they misinterpreted one of your comments or something.
/r/seduction15/02/22 11:40 AM

But in saying that without putting on some sort of facade there's nothing much I can do to change how I come across. The only thing I can think of is to try and put myself in environments that play to my strengths more than clubs or bars, which is what I'll focus on
/r/seduction10/02/22 01:43 AM

Well that's the thing, you've got a defined image and certain girls will be drawn to it. I don't really - I look like a gym guy, but my personality definitely doesn't match it. And I'm not great at presenting myself in most situations, like I said the more brash outspoken guys can convey themselves at parties, events etc whilst my charm is more subtle and hard to get across during cold approaches, events etc I've gotten compliments that I'm actually a really interesting person after someone's go…

Yeah, literally the moment I go from being indifferent to being interested in a girl and trying to charm her I end up turning her away - even if she's been infatuated with me for the past several months. It feels like a curse. Maybe they were just trying to win my affection - I can relate to that too. It sucks though

All in all would you even bother with a girl like this? I honestly feel like it's not even worth it for a casual thing, and I feel like the sex will be lifeless as well - she just goes like a starfish and acts like I should be overjoyed just to be with her.

hmm... I'm probably too distant and don't quite smile enough either. It's because I'm usually off with the fairies thinking about something else tbh But then that aloof attitude seems to work for a lot of guys as well Either way I'll try to smile more and make stronger eye contact

I've come to reluctantly accept that I'm a pretty funny guy, issue is my humor is really dry and transgressive - they're more likely to say 'what the fuck, did you just say that?' than laugh. It's fine when I'm with friends or if the girls know me well, but it really isn't the sort of humor that gets you laid on a night out.
/r/seduction20/01/22 08:27 AM
1

Fair points. I just struggle to enjoy myself because it's not a fun kinda improv it's more like making safe/dull small talk that's flirty but doesn't cross some arbitrary line that makes her feel uncomfortable. I see it as a game of 'try not to fuck up' rather than 'let's see where this goes' which is an attitude I need to change.
/r/seduction20/01/22 08:24 AM

That was just a hypothetical situation intended to be funny, if a girl actually responded like that I'd say something like 'oh thanks for saving us both some time' and walk off

See I've curated my friends so they're all guys (and a few girls) who I can talk about unorthodox shit with, and I've come to find typical 'safe' conversation to be unbearably boring. But I understand that if I brought up these topics right away she would think I'm off my antipsychotic medication and fair enough. But if I met a girl I'd love for her to have a similarly absurd sense of humor and skip passed all the safe small talk. It's just so exhausting to ask myself whether something is approp…

Yeah it's not an even playing field at all that's true - even in the mammalian kingdom half the males never get to mate in their lifetimes, whilst certain males get multiple partners. I'm lucky in that I'm 6'4 and muscular, but then I have my own issues including fetish/preferences that means I'm only really attracted to about 1/100 women which makes things a fuck load more challenging and rejection is harder to take because there aren't as many opportunities. It's not a small mindset shift - even after writing this I fell into the same trap yesterday and I had to force myself through it. Eventually your mindset does shift though, at least I truly believe it does. Even if you got rejected by every girl you ever approached, there would be a sense of pride. It's like looking for your lost dog...there's a chance you may never find it but at least you can say hey I spent a week searching rather than just giving up on the second day

Yeah I didn't want this advice to come across as though you should force yourself to date multiple people all the time to the detriment of other things in your life - that's definitely not helpful because dating does require some time and energy. Do most male hollywood celebrities really sleep with THAT many women or care to? We assume they do because they have girls throwing themselves at them but perhaps not. They do have parties as well though - my friends sister is sort of famous and went to a party where leonardo dicaprio was giving everyone free cocaine so you could leverage things like that too. There are a few circumstances where I believe it's valid to assert that someone truly isn't in the right place to be dating/courting - battling a serious mental or physical illness or injury, grieving, broke to the point of being homeless, seriously drug addicted, awaiting prison sentencing, sadistic/illegal fetishes which can't be suppressed Otherwise I think you're ready
/r/seduction17/04/21 04:00 AM

Yeah basically a fear or rejection which then gets magnified and distorted into some failure of you as a person. It's insanely hard to adjust this mindset (I'm still working on it) but it can be done and it's one of the most valuable things anybody can do.
/r/seduction17/04/21 03:55 AM
1

Yeah well said I've found as I move through life that many people won't appreciate you for being yourself. Accepting that is one of the most important things you can do for your self worth. At work and with family it can be a bit difficult to navigate but why the fuck would you date someone who doesn't like you for who you are? I'd much rather be single than with somebody who I have to put on a facade with.
/r/seduction17/04/21 03:51 AM

Well at least you don't have to live with regret in that sense. I'm sure you made other improvements. You must have built a lot of fortitude during that time which you can translate to other areas of your life. Also 'it's possible to commit no mistakes and still lose'

/r/seduction17/04/21 03:37 AM
2

Yeah it's interesting isn't it - people think that if you can learn and research things enough then the execution part should be a walk in the park...but that's where the real mindset changes take place. At the gym, at the bar, at the workplace, at the volunteer group, at the hospital, in a jail cell etc - not in your lounge room reading things whilst you sip a coffee.
/r/seduction17/04/21 03:33 AM

Yeah that makes sense. I suppose I meant more that whilst a 10/10 may have a yearning for deeper conversation, they may not have developed their capacity for it because they're rarely put in that situation since they're so sexualised etc? I agree that a lot of 7's and 8's tend to have the most arrogant attitude and overinflated self image lol

" Well next day the friend that brought her in told me that she thought it was strange that I wasn't hitting on her or making moves." I think it's impossible that looks don't have a huge influence on this though...they literally radically alter the way you're treated - and that compounds over time to have a pronounced impact on somebody's personality surely? Yeah that's a good point about how we shouldn't need to use games or gimmicks to get a kiss - really if we had a nice date we should be able to stand facing them at the end before parting ways, stare at their lips and go in for it. If they're not interested in it then...well there was probably not going to be another date anyway right? It's just hard because sometimes I'll think oh if I don't go in for the kiss this time it will make them even more eager to meet me again, and they'll see that I …

Hmm I would benefit from that a lot actually. I consider myself pretty witty and funny but I realised I'm too factual/analytical when I speak... it can work well with the guys but not so well on girls. Did you join improv classes or something? I have a really really dry sense of humour and people often don't actually know when I'm joking... this absolutely does not work well with some girls where I basically need to declare that I'm about to make a joke. It's hardest on a first date when they do…

I just consider most really alpha guys I've met really fucking boring and predictable...but I guess girls see things differently

Yeah I guess you might be in trouble if you go for the kiss and she's not in the mood for it...but you'll also be in trouble if you don't...and you probably won't get another date. Do you have anything that worked for you to use as an excuse to kiss her? I once looked at a girl in the eyes and said 'times like this I wish I didn't have this no kissing until marriage rule' and that led her to laugh a bit then started kissing... might try that again lol Do you feel like once you've kissed, things …

but not just internally...I'll say it out loud to. Say we're getting coffee I'll start talking about how decaf still has some caffeine in it and spitting out coffee facts and the funny story about how I nearly had a stroke when I overdosed on caffeine and stuff and I can tell they're looking at me like '...ok?' meanwhile some guy who I would say is far more fucking boring than I am will just make steady eye contact and say some glib pseudo romantic bullshit and get a way better response from her

is there a way to do this that minimizes the uncomfortable side of things? Or reliable ways to know that she's really wanting me to escalate with her? You're right though, I guess that is what it comes down to. I also don't like being accused of being creepy or anything obviously - no coincidence that the guys I know who've been with the most women have been accused of being creeps by a few girls.

What if your whole personality is built on being analytical and basically behaviours which aren't considered sexy (unless the girl really has a thing for intelligent discussion...which some do...although it's relatively rare)

What would you say were the most helpful tips you read about which you probably wouldn't have discovered naturally? I agree that repeatedly failing with the wrong methods doesn't help - although it's at least better than never trying out the 'right' ones

Phsyically yeah, but the big dick daddy energy alpha pack animal test beast personality is boring and cringeworthy as fuck right? I mean some girls may respond well to that but surely not one's you want. I think it's just about being self assured more than anything else

to be honest I've just messaged a big paragraph about how I saw her tagged and thought they had a nice vibe - life is short so figured i'd send them a message and see if they weren't up for chatting..and if so what's their favourite cocktail blah blah. Something like that. 2 out of about 12 have replied and we had dates. Most will probably think you're a weirdo but there's not much you can do about that. Especially one's who you have to request to follow - they don't even usually accept you in m…

I feel like height gets massively overstated here to the point where it's an excuse though. Yeah if you're under like 5'9 you won't make it onto some girls radars but just being tall doesn't mean you're beating girls off with a stick all day

Hmm maybe I was naïve to think that some girls were at bars looking to meet guys for longer term things? Surely some of them aren't relying on dating apps or friends right. There's still something a bit exciting about the bullshit bar banter even if I'm not expecting it to lead to anything, but yeah, I'm probably not actually missing out on much there. Plus paying at least 40 dollars, being hungover the next day, Chad Thundercock spills his beer all over you and gets angry at you for looking at …

I guess natural to feel that way - and the awful reality for a lot of people is that when you feel like you've finally 'got' someone suddenly they lose their lustre and you start going for what you feel that you can't get. Even if they're...kinda worse. I know people who cheated on their girlfriends with much less attractive and less intelligent girls. And yeah there's billions of women in the world, there are probably always going to be a million girls who are better for you than whoever you're…

Yeah I get you. I interpreted your comment as more like 'don't settle down with anyone until you've been with 100's of women'. If something seems pretty good there's no need to necessarily throw it away and hope for something better - that's something I've done all my life in different ways and it hasn't done me much good. Epicurus said something about that. But yes I also don't want to feel like I settled too early and then get filled with regret. With women or career or anything.

Yeah they did lol that's' why I was so interested. I mean I'm still attracted to other types, but I really can't do stick thin or gym girls. Or if she has some crazy strict diet or body goals because then I feel like I'm a bad influence on her. What's strange is that I have asked friends one on one what their ideal body is, about half of them say they prefer chubbier girls too and not just enormous asses and boobs but softness all over and some belly fat. I think a lot of women actually put an u…

Yeah exactly. That's why the attitude 'any hole is a goal bro' is the stupidest shit. Yeah I could have technically slept with 200 women I'm not that attracted to from across various dating apps or by stalking certain nightclubs at 2am ...what the hell would that prove though? More than that you risk getting someone pregnant, causing them to develop feelings for you, maybe you can't get into it and they realise you aren't attracted to them...it just isn't necessary is it.

Fair point, I guess any suggestions for places where I can get to know people over a few hours or just where there's less emphasis on cold approaching people. I did a first aid course a few weeks ago and met a few people there. If I could do that everyday I would be right. It's just that at the moment I don't meet very many people this way.

Last girl: She ghosted me after about half an hour on Hinge so I looked her up on instagram and thought about sending her a message but I talked myself out of it Before that: Followed her on instagram and sent her a wholesome paragraph asking if she was down to chat a bit and got left on read Before that: flirted with her a bit at work...then her partner came over Before that: she was working in a store by herself in the same shopping centre I work in so I walked in and made some excuse about wh…

Is that even possible though? You're naturally not indifferent toward them. You want them to respond well to you and you can't fool yourself into thinking otherwise? Or is it more like that's how you want to come across? If I don't like a girl (in a sexual manner) I'll probably just either ignore her or say whatever random shit pops into my head or ask for lady advice to get their perspective (even tho it's not worth much) or ask where the bathroom is or something. Because that's the thing like …

I suppose I was looking more for suggestions on places or ways to meet people more organically...because as it stands I only meet like 2 girls per year who really get to know me. I'd like to bump that up a lot (once the pandemic is over). And part of me feels like I'm missing out on fun by not approaching girls at bars and shit, even tho it's not my style and I've never really found it to be particularly fun. But yeah you're right.

good on you for sticking to your guns. I did that once too in Europe because I knew the girl was engaged. 1 hour of semi awkwardly putting your dick inside someone isn't worth feeling like shit over. And you should feel like shit because I had a friend who was cheated on years ago and when he found out he went and jumped in front of a train. It was a major overreaction and very pathetic behaviour, but it can really mess people up. Unfortunately I'm pretty picky with my type though...if they don'…

Yeah I plan to do some dance classes soon - we're back in lockdown this week though. I feel like dance classes will at least help me be a bit more comfortable with my body or more specifically the movement of my body around others. Also, I'm more attracted to chubbier hot girls e.g. https://64.media.tumblr.com/16ca695fd444eb4bb0381b5b0bb3bef9/b3af496f2a267813-44/s1280x1920/c2ef063035b501a60260a885ee9e59f43a6304a4.jpg And I'm not really into extremely thin or fit girls... should make things easie…

How attracted do you think you need to be with somebody you're having a date with for it to really work? I dated a girl who I saw as about a 5.5-6/10 last week because she had a really cool personality...unfortunately the date felt more like 2 friends hanging out than something romantic. And I've got enough friends. Now I feel like I've wasted both of our time. I'm not someone who can or wants to sleep with girls they're not very attracted to either. With my my attraction is either I want them o…

Man I haven't had this happen in years, it rarely even happens on dates. Until it happened with a customer a few weeks ago though because although she was like 10 years older than me she had my favourite body type (Slender but soft and a bit chubby with big tits) and I've got a bit of a thing for legs/feet so when I had to 'fit' her shoes (work in a shoe store) I was hard as a diamond...I had to wait a while to stand up. In hindsight I should've bloody asked for her number. Do you think it's wor…

For the first 30 seconds. Then I'm overcome by a strange wave of calmness. Then it picks up a bit when I ask for her number or if she'd be up for grabbing a drink. Then right after the interaction I feel a bit dizzy almost. Then for the next hour or two I feel like a king, regardless of how it went.

The tough part is when you've fantasized about somebody and imagined this positive scenario before you even approach or message them. I've found myself doing it when I'm swiping on fucking dating apps. We need to stay planted in reality not fantasy. Also, it's tough when you're well aware that you could have conducted yourself better, and you shouldn't have made that comment about her friend being attractive, or you shouldn't have taken 3 days to reply to her message...but whatever... you live a…

thanks for the example - you know I'm always surprised at how recommended lines etc are so 'simple' , but perhaps trying to swoop in with a really elegant sounding one (which i haven't used before in real life) wouldn't work well in reality because it doesn't sound spontaneous enough? The absolute best for me is when I can find something specific to engage in... funny story but I once lost my temper with a girl who was talking on the phone and occupying a machine i wanted to use at the gym for a…

yeah that makes sense and I've often thought 'avoid bad dates by establishing some rapport first' but in all honesty I find the intial banter difficult because of how contrived the situation is (in my mind) - it's not just like I'm chatting to a stranger, I'm actively assessing whether I want to ask her on a date, trying to find a segue into that etc and it clouds my spontaneity a bit you know what I mean. That's why I thought maybe if I established that first up I could be myself more. Also, ho…

I know I'm overthinking it man that's a bad habbit of mine.. But say you're in a supermarket aisle with a cute girl who smiles at you - do you try to make a comment or joke about something in your surroundings? bring up some pop culture reference that she should be familiar with? walk up and just introduce yourself? Often an opener doesn't just come to me when I'm in the moment - once I'm talking to them I'm good but I wanted a bit more of a gameplan than just 'stop thinking and approach them'

fair enough - by direct I mean that would be my first sentence to immediately establish why I was talking to her - whilst it may be somewhat off-putting surely be less creepy than a guy who kinda loiters around and makes small talk if they can't find a segue in to getting their number. My thinking for dinner was that it seems a little more chilled than a bar in my mind - two people just grabbing dinner opposed to some ultra sexual dimly lit bar that may put them off a bit - and if it's going wel…
