Gauging by how easily the average person seems to find a partner (whether the relationship works out is another story), it leads me to conclude that most people either compromise massively most likely from fear of being alone, or don’t ask for much in a partner. Some get lucky of course but naturally that doesn’t apply to most.

Even if you’re really outgoing and going out a lot the chances that you’ll meet someone with strong mutual sexual attraction, emotional and moral compatibility and who’s life journey dovetails with yours (who is single and looking to mingle) still seems very slim.

So do you think most people do compromise enormously or drop their standards or what?
