When I'm with a girl I tend to feel like if I make a comment that isn't in some way funny or amusing, or sexy or cute, or intelligent and demonstrating strong moral character, then it was a waste of breath. Basically if it doesn't provoke some sort of an emotional response it was a pointless, if you're telling a story that isn't hilarious or arousing or really wholesome, you might as well have just been reading the tag on her dress sort or thing.

It's a shit mindset because the harder you try the less likely you are to be in the moment and therefore the less likely you are to actually say something funny, sexy, wholesome etc.

I remind myself that the average guy isn't a comedian or talkshow host or casanova or hero, so it would be unrealistic to expect everything they say to come across that way.

But is it normal to feel this way?
