I was always of the opinion that you should show not tell and that spending time with someone and looking into their eyes and shit was implicit affection but then I often see guys saying they have success by being explicit with sexual compliments and forceful touch and things that I cringe at the thought of doing.

Obviously every woman's a little bit different with what they want but am I being too demure and undermining myself?

I assume it all depends on the context as well - you can obviously get away with a lot more at a club than at a quiet social gathering or something like that.

But in your books what level of directness are women looking for?
