I went to the gym at the age of 20 and started training. In the first year, I made significant gains, but I still looked skinny when wearing a shirt. My training intensity was low, and I made mistakes everywhere, often going to the gym only when I felt like it.
I always ate less and was always skinny, my parents had told me being skinny makes your brain work better. I also didn't have much appetite and never enjoyed eating.
I ate all the wrong foods and didn't track my calories for the first six months. Then, I began tracking macros on MyFitnessPal, which made me realize I needed to eat more to gain size, after calculating my Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and meeting protein, fat, and carb requirements.
Despite all the mistakes, I made the most significant gains in the first year. I then decided to focus on mastering one movement at a time.
In the second year, I started going to the gym every day.
During the third year, I learned about "high-intensity training," and after that, I often couldn't recover for 3-4 days. I'd absolutely dredd going to gym, not recovering for 3-4 days made me feel like genetic imbecile. Why I don't recover? Do I have weak genetics? I started having self doubts but I overcame and kept going even after feeling mentally worse.
As a side effect of going to the gym, I rarely fell sick again; I would only experience illness after four years, and it would last for just two days. I often wondered if my higher lean mass made me immune or if it was the antibiotics in the eggs and chicken I consumed excessively to meet protein requirements
When I was skinny, I'd fall sick when I met a friend who was sick. So when I started observing my immunity, I also started feeling like a "superhuman" and this made me kinder to those who fell sick. I used to avoid sick people and had general eck feeling but after developing immunity, I genuinely seeked out sick friends and helped them
I showed a shirtless photo to several female friends, and they all said, "You look fit." Notably, they didn't say "muscular," and I could tell they weren't particularly impressed. Other said you look like a fighter.
When I asked them how long they thought it took to get to my physique, they said 2-3 months at the gym. For them, muscular meant someone like Drago from the Rocky movies.
Women become unrealistic because of tiktokers and Instagrammer, lying about their transformation. Usually they just hop on juice from skinny state.
If you are fat then juice isn't gonna do much, first lose fat then try to be muscular.
Although people commented that I looked more built (mostly male friends), I didn't put on much size. It was only noticeable when I was shirtless.
One day, I got a very high fever, and every joint I had used in the gym became inflamed. This had never happened before. It became clear that using these joints during workouts wore them down and led to inflammation when I was sick. My rib cage was hurting, shoulder joint, hip hinge all hurting. When I got ribcage inflamed I couldn't help but wonder if it's not ribcage but lungs? Did I get covid? I decided to wait a day before getting testing, after a day the fever had drastically reduced and rib cage pain was gone. I had a strip of Tylenol but never took it.
After that, I decided to try a 250mg testosterone cycle (even though Reddit suggests 500mg, I was cautious). Interestingly, I made significant gains during the four-month cycle. (Cycle needs to be longer on lower dose, many told me its pointless and waste at 250 but they were also older guy, and their goal was to become bodybuilder, mine was to achieve Draggo.
I am convinced that training naturally is a waste of time and can harm your joints. This is because your training volume directly affects your size, and to increase size, you have to keep increasing volume. More training volume means more wear on your joints.
With testosterone, you can gain size with less training volume, and your recovery is much faster. During high-intensity training (HIT), I recover much faster, allowing me to train HIT style at least twice a week, which is much better than going to the gym every day.
I don't particularly enjoy lifting; it can be mind-numbing.
I am pretty sure, these joint gonna ache when I get older. I got the demo when I got fever.
