Direct Democracy

There are more voting age women than men because of the gender gap in life expectancy. More men are made ineligible to vote than women (for example felons can't vote... and draft dodgers are felons). And of eligible voters, men are less likely to vote than women. The result is that men are the minority of voters.

Do we really want a totally direct democracy if we are the minority? Maybe we want a democracy that protects men like it protects other disadvantaged groups?

Men will mostly likely never get custody of their kids even if they can provide for the child better than the mother

Many studies have proven that single mother household is worse compared to single father households. There are stats showing how adversely it can affect a child from a single mother household.

Children brought up in single mother households are 10 times more likely to abuse chemical substances, 14 times more likely to commit rape, 20 times more likely to end up in prison, 32 times more likely to run away from home

It is clear that as men pays 90% of the child support, many women are not financially stable enough to look after the child, in these cases ruling should favour those which are capable of providing the best living situations and life for the child so it is high time that court and judicial system starts addressing this issue and NOT always rule in favour of women.

Direct democracy is the tyranny of the majority. Two wolves and a sheep voting on dinner.

The best we can do is avoid family court. Avoid kids. Avoid women.

Even if this direct democracy worked as intended (which is a lot to ask tbh), it wouldn't be great. Most people have less empathy for men than women, if they were truly allowed to be in power, they would still create gynocentric laws that disadvantage men.

From a collective point of view, there isn't much we can do as long as we are underfunded and such a minority. From an individual point of view, there are still some things that can allow us to live happily as a lone wolf disconnected from society.
