Got turned on to Peterson via the Joe Rogan podcast about gender pronouns and the dominance hierarchy and I was hooked. Devoured his YouTube content. I found his biblical lectures to be incredibly profound, Very stimulating, for me, and got me thinking about a lot of shit. I’ve always felt a pull to ancient stories of the Bible, so to be able to view them through a modern psychological lens is interesting. Same with his personality lectures. Good shit.

I don’t follow or seek his relationship advice beyond his suggestion of positive reinforcement. He advocates sorting your shit out and self care and growth. All good things.

I heard about him a long time ago. From what I can gather, he tries his best to take a rational approach and consider all sides of an argument.

What people on the Left don’t understand is he probably disagrees with a lot of people on the Right as well.

I love the guy. Like with anything in life, approach it with a critical mind. I think he's absolutely wrong when it comes to religion (in that he thinks it should exist), but most of what he says I like and he's made me consider many new view points.

Peterson says "aim for the highest good you can conceive".

So maybe the highest good a typical RP'd guy can conceive of right now is bangin'. Go forth and crush that goal.

I bet once you've done it, you're either a) happy or b) looking for a newer, better goal. So then you do that.

Peterson is a wise-as-fuck sage, yet he's far better at being an older man than is was a younger one, by his own admission. So for now, weave him into the aspects of TRP that are working for you. No need to fully accept or reject someone's teachings. Cobble together your own using a buffet table approach.
