The fact that you have a room to yourself is already a big deal especially in college. I remember my freshman year having 2 other roommate in the same room. Every time I would bring a girl over they would cock block one way or the other.

However, you are the pulling force to your room. When you walk in your apartment with the girl lead her to your room. It's that simple. I wouldn't worry too much about how your room actually looks. Like I said you're fortunate to have a room to yourself. For your own sense of self expression go ahead and put up some posters and pictures. This can be good to show a bit of personality, but it's really not that important. Whats important is that your room is clean and organized. Women will get turned off by a dirty environment.

The last place I lived in my room was pretty small as well. The living room and kitchen area was actually very spacious. Every time I had a girl over we went straight to my room because that's where I lead her. They never questioned it.

If you have a chair, leave your backpack on it whenever you pull. Study on the bed together, escalate and then do your thing. Music playing and maybe a lamp to dim the lights.
