Guys, who are very focused on what they are doing, instead of getting distracted and emotional by everything, that comes in their way, give off this "aloof" vibe, that women often find attractive. You should aim for the character traits, that are the basis for this vibe, instead of trying to fake it. Also, this is just one way of being attractive. Focus on finding women, that fit to the personality you already have.

A few things to unpack here:

Acting aloof, bring mysterious, etc., is about control of information. Information about who someone is, is being held back. This can have a few effects:

Because information is being withheld, the guy can broaden his appeal, as he may become a blank slate of sorts for the girl to project their fantasies of the ideal guy onto. The girl will essentially game themselves.
This blank slate can allow a dude to get at girls that technically wouldn't be interested in them, so long as they don't ruin the illusion.
Mysteriousness and being aloof can also add the thrill of the hunt to the situation; because the guy is withholding information, the girl has to go more than halfway to bridge the gap.

This has a few effects:

The guy may find it hard to be themselves in this kind of situation, because doing so may contradict whatever fantasies the girl is projecting onto the guy
If the guy starts off being aloof, the girl will suddenly lose the thrill of the hunt.
All of which can cause the attraction to take a huge hit. That can give an interaction a shortened expiration date. Which might not be a big deal to someone wanting something casual, it might make things trickier for people

Long story short, if mysteriousness is a girl's thing and you fit their taste besides that, then it doesn't require any particularly special way of being mysterious.

That said, there are downsides to this. If you're not naturally mysterious, then trying to be that might easily backfire in so many ways.
