I know it seems counter intuitive but before you bite down and ask her out, you should withdraw from her. If she's attracted to you she'll ask you what's up. It could take a week or so, maybe longer. I would definitely withdraw physically.
I don't always do this but if things escalate between us, yet we aren't kissing or really touching at all, until one day we start being physical, I would withdraw so it's easier to see where I stand. Girls do that, where they tell me up front that we're just friends, but sit on my lap, or kiss. I think, friends don't do this.
