So I’m also workin on talkin with women just to state the facts (there’s a chick at work that I’m trying to avoid this exact thing when we talk.)

I feel the weirdest/most awkward when I’m trying to set up the conversation because I’m thinking about her romantically as a potential gf instead of being casual like I am with family/ friends and don’t feel weird because I’m treating it as a casual convo where I’m just checking in with someone as a friend (which then you feel out when it’s finally time to make the next move)

I’ve just tried to find things we have in common to start the convo’s and let them Segway into different topics. If the convo seems like there’s nothing else to talk about, I like to stop it before I say something stupid and just use the old “I gotta get back to work” or something similar and will catch them later.

Just keep trying and over time those feelings will dissipate as long as you are genuinely trying to learn from it each time you talk with a chick.
