Hey guys, very new to dating and as a result came on a bit too strong towards this woman I was seeing. Note that we made it to the second date and we already kissed and its very obvious she finds me very attractive by the way she acts with me in person, but she did mention I kind of pushed her away with how strong I was coming off. As a result, I decided to pull back a bit, not initiate texts and no longer watch her stories for a bit. For context, our last hang out I pulled back completely and didn't initiate anything with her, but there was a lot of sexual tension and she kept calling me hot and complimenting me, etc.

It's only been four days of me "pulling back" and she's already initiated twice, which is something she's never done before. I basically just gave very simple, few-word responses. I'm wondering how long I should pull back for before I start "initiating" again or if I should continue leaving it to her to initiate. The situation is made a bit more complicated in that I'm out of town for a while and won't be able to hang out with her until the next two months or so, so my goal is to make her maintain interest even though I can't really hang out with her in person for a while. Does it make sense to sporadically text her once in a while, and try to have them be indirectly sexual but not too forward? Open to ideas... thanks
