Hey guys, been speaking with this girl for a few weeks now. We went on two dates and we kissed on one of the dates. Overall, we get along pretty well. Over text, we have pretty solid conversations but out of the blue she will take like 2-3 days to reply. When she does though, it seems like she makes an effort to continue the conversation. There has also been times where she has initiated conversations in the past, usually by sending some pic or replying to my stories.

Honestly though these random 2-3 day pauses kind of annoy me. It makes me not want to text her or continue the conversation. I've started to think that perhaps I'm not her top option and thus should just start pulling back and focusing on other things. The final straw was after waiting for 3-4 days for a response, she replied with something along the lines of "I'm so tired." How am I gonna reply to that. Thus, I left her on read.

I've also stopped watching her stories because I just feel like it's best if I start putting my attention elsewhere. If she texts me with something useful, I'll happily continue the conversation, but until then, I'm hesitant to put in additional effort when I feel like I'm a backup or something.

Am I overreacting? Should I try to text her again? She did tell me she's a bad texter but I honestly think that's BS - if you're interested in someone, you'll find the time to reply. I'm curious if anyone has input on how I'm handling this or if they have any suggestions. Thanks
