So this was my next proper attempt after my last field report post (8 days ago)

Quick stats update (not including this approach) after that as follows: Total attempts: 5 Opened: 4 Complete ignorance: 1

I didn’t ask anyone out simply because I just didn’t feel so. I opened them and later gave an honest complement and closed the conversation. I still get anxious majority of the times when it comes to cold approaching, so my primary intention of doing this was putting myself out there to overcome it. One of these girls even started asking me questions. But I never had the intention to take it any further, so I closed it and left the scene.

The real struggle or indecision (atleast according to innumerable posts across Reddit forums) with this approach was that the girl is a barista at a place I’m regular at.

I have small talked with her a few times long back. But earlier this week, I opened a conversation and she was responsive too by asking me questions. Three days later, I opened again today, asked her name this time and told her that I think she is really beautiful. The conversation continued for a period of time. Few minutes before I was leaving the place, I went to her again, but to my surprise she asked me something casually first, and following that I directly asked her out. It worked. We talked for a while and she clearly expressed her interest too in going out.

I used to admire how pretty she is since long and I would have NEVER APPROACHED her in my life if I never came across this subreddit. This community is a brotherhood!
