You have the right approach, I’d keep it a bit more subtle. How about:

“hey I feel like i see you here all the time, I’m ____”

get her name.

“I have to finish my workout now but we should hang out sometime. Let’s exchange numbers.

When you are seducing you have to actually talk more, because the attraction has to be generated in person, not over the phone.

The phone is for setting up dates not to get to know her, but she will not go on a date with you if she doesn’t know you more, which has to be done in person during your first approach before you ask for her number.

You see, what do you know about her with a short conversation like that?

Her name and that she works out.

She is gonna have by default, many objections which you have not resolved.

1 - “This guy only wants sex probably as he says I’m cute and that’s all that seems to matter to him, I wonder how many girls she’s tried that with. I’m probably just a number in his list, he is likely to just want sex and then act like i don’t exist.”

This kind of objection is super common among girls when they are being approached by men, and since it’s not resolved then that means your phone number, even if she gives it to you initially to get rid of you quickly, is very likely to lead nowhere.

2 - “What do I know about this guy? Is he a cool fun guy that’s worth my time, or is it gonna be awkward going out with him? How do I even know if I can trust that he is not a creep or something… I know nothing about him or his behaviour other than sometimes he creepily stares at me in the gym… No way i’m going out with an stranger”

Another objection that is unresolved, since you didn’t really share much about yourself.

3 - He wants my number, pff what if he is one of those dudes that calls all the time and it’s super annoying, i mean maybe he is not, but meh my phone is too personal and i don’t want any creeps calling or texting me all day”

Another objection which would be solved if you spend 5-10 mins talking and seducing her.

4 - “I don’t really feel anything when talking with him, so it’s not like this will probably be worth my time or anything”

Since you didn’t flirt or create sexual tension, then this is also a likely objection. You are not the first guy who wants her number, so you being just another generic guy that appears on her radar, she doesn’t really have any reason to give you the time of the day anymore than any of the countless of other guys that are asking for her number on her instagram, tiktok’s or tinder accounts.

This is why you need to:

Introduce yourself
Show interest in who she is, what her hobbies are, what she studies, what her carrer/job is, how she feels about it,
Share about who you actually are, so you are not an stranger.
You need to tease or roast her a little bit to make her feel some emotions when talking with you,
Show your personality so that she can feel if you are fun to be with, and whether there is chemistry and a good vive.
Show her that you are interested in her for her traits and virtues, not just for her looks.
And flirt sexually with intent in order to create sexual tension, because the sexual tension is what’s gonna make her treat you as a priority, over any of the other guys that can’t make her feel anything.

Sexual tension also known as the spark or the butterflies that make the conversation memorable because it means she is really feeling like she is into you.

As you can see the goal is not the number, the number is just a means to an end, the goal of the conversation is to cause her to have a small crush on you before you even try to set up a date or ask for her number.

Heck, the goal should be to even have an instant date that same day after workout, and maybe even sex that same day you meet.

Focusing on the phone is silly, because the phone is gonna flake without establishing a connection first.

It’s like you are cold selling to someone who doesn’t know you doesn’t trust you and doesn’t really need what you are offering. You have to warm her up, you need to create trust and excitement before you try to go for the number.

Ideally she should be dying for you to text her or call her because of how memorable your first interaction went, but if you just asked for her number after finding out her name and that’s it, she won’t really be waiting at all for you to call her, and won’t really be that interested.

And no, this stuff isn’t supposed to be saved for a date, it should happen before you ask for her number because as i said, it’s highly unlikely she will go out with you, as you are an stranger who is only interested in her for superficial reasons.

Can't you just have a normal fucking conversation? Do you really think blurting out "can I get your number" is going to work? What's so hard about being a normal guy?
