I don't see a big difference between 20 minutes and 1 hour. For me, a long date is like 3-4 yours. Some women are down to go home with you after 20 min. Some want 1 hour, 2 hours, or more time. Some don't want to go home with you even after 4 hours. I think your friend is right in about 60-70% of cases though, so his absolutist approach is probably effective even though it's inherently sub-optimal since it doesn't allow you to be flexible based on how you read her during the date.

Don’t focus on time, and instead focus on whether you are feeling the sexual tension. As soon as you both feel the sexual tension there you need to make out, and then time doesn’t matter.

No dates are better.

Waste of time. If a girl likes you, she will find a way to get YOU back to HER place or come to yours without any of the pretense.

It's a silly rule society constructed to get men forking over cash to pay for a party of "2". It doesn't lead to intimacy any more or less if the woman didn't already want to be intimate with you in the first place. The date just 'gets in the way of the flow of things'.

But, "Yah". I agree with that other guy. If you have (want) to do it because you feel you need to for the results you want, less is more.

if hes just there to fuck then yeah 20 minutes of awkwardly waiting to fuck is no worse than 40 minutes of awkwardly waiting to fuck. hes only gonna end up with women who are also only DTF. but for most women you need to actually build attraction and enjoy them as something more than a vagina with legs in order for them to feel comfy sharing themselves with you, something your friend sounds like hes incapable of doing
