Hey everyone, hope you're well! I (M/30) was just considering deleting Tinder and Bumble as I feel like at this point it isn't helping me in dating. I signed up for the apps two months ago and found that I got matches on first day, and since then essentially got maybe 3 matches over the past couple of months with no convo. I don't think I'm too picky either as I've avoided swiping right on women who are extremely attractive and focused rather on who I have things in common with.

I figured at the beginning it was my profile since it was half assed but 2-3 weeks ago I created a PowerPoint presentation for the apps and have found all of a sudden on Hinge I'm having a new woman message me first every 2-3 days saying they really like my profile but nothing has changed on Tinder or Bumble. Based on what I've learned, Tinder and Bumble tend to showcase your profile less if you aren't getting a lot of right swipes so I did consider paying for a premium but I'm unsure if it makes a difference and I don't want to pay so much if my profile just isn't attractive to a Tinder/Bumble crowd but for some reason is popular on Hinge.

I feel like I'd get matches if people were seeing my profile but I don't know if I'm setting expectations too high. I've heard of people deleting or hiding their profile for a while and getting a boost. Would you do the same to just to see if a boost makes a difference or just keep it?
