I was texting a girl from Florida for a while and I'm in Wisconsin. I had been planning a trip to Florida for February and I was intending to see her as part of my trip for a first meeting. I had told her my itinerary for the trip and basically said that during my time there I would be near her location for about 3 days. I told her we could meet up for something casual, like at Starbucks or something, and if we got along we could plan to hang out a bit more in the area. She agreed and said, "Sounds good to me. When are you planning this?"

I gave her the days I would be in her city and the day I would be spending in Florida. She followed up with, "Sounds awesome, you're gonna love it." Implying that I would be having a great time in Florida. But, I took this as a deflection of her wanting to meet with me. I followed up with, "Yeah, I haven't been down there in ages. Any cool places or things to see that you'd recommend?" She then didn't respond. I followed up the next day with just letting her know things felt a bit off, so I wouldn't be focusing so much on being her texting buddy anymore, but when I'm in Florida, if she wants to meet to let me know.

I didn't want to be too invested in expecting to see her with her behavior coming across as flaky to me. Does it sound like I made the wise decision?
