I read a lot of personal development books and this one probably had the most profound impact on. Decades of improvement stemming from its lessons. It's the kind of book you should reread every 5-10 years.

Habits 1, 2, 3, and 7 are crucial to accomplishing goals. 4, 5, and 6 are great for maintaining healthy relationships with people.

Habit 4 is huuuuge for your inner game. The concept of "win/win (or walk away)" is the attitude you should be bringing into any dating situation. It's the essence of abundance mentality.

I personally found this book a piece of trash..especially the part where he gives parenting advice while at the same time admitting to being a terrible parent. There's nothing special about this self-help book. If self-help is your thing there are maaaaany better ones out there. I never understood why people got their hard on for this one. It's all just blatant truths everyone already knows. Like "be proactive and plan ahead", "set goals", "work hard", and other crap you've heard a hundred times before. I prefer books that teach me something new. A unique perspective or a surprising research finding or just a new way to look at things..but this book is the opposite of that..it takes all the stereotypical truths that you already know like "be nice to people if you want them to be nice to you"..and then wraps it in a sellable package.

I read this book back at high school and it's a piece of crap. It's actually didn't help you improve at anything.
