Well known people like a breath of fresh air, best way to give them that is treat them like anybody else u meet, they probably sick of so many people simping for them or kissing ass, even if they think they like that kind of attention. I wouldn't bring up their fame unless they bring it up first, but it's OK to talk about what they do, why they do it, how they got where they are, just regular convo to establish connection that appeals to who they are instead of the fame they have. I can only say this out of experience as a nobody, a defensive lineman that got the captain of the cheerleaders.

They easier option is just treat them like shit.

I think it probably depends on the level of fame and what exactly they do? I listen to a podcast and they are relatively well known, and one of the girls had a guy slide into the dm's and say he didn't know what it was that she did, and it turned her off. So I think there's probably a middle ground where you acknowledge that you are aware of the work they do and say they're killing it, but not like "oh my god I'm such a fan". Cuz they're probably proud of whatever it is they do and might be a bit off-put if you're like "yeah I have no idea who you are". Or you could say that you didn't know who they were, but when you saw their page you checked out some of their content and it seems really cool?

I would acknowledge it and try to display as much bravery as possible by powering through and asking her out like she was any other hot girl I thought was out of my league. Hopefully she reads the brazen forward-ness as charming or refreshing, and then it’s just a matter of keeping the momentum.

Imagine if you were famous and had been for long enough to come back down to earth. How would you want to be approached by a regular person who wanted a date with you?

Having worked with a few of these people I’d say that the attraction is probably only going to be physically alluring. Most of them are usually attention seeking and highly focused on themselves. Very annoying to be around if you never break past the superficialities they tend to always have.
