Start by talking about it to friends, and learn to approach people to make new friends.l and share with them your weaknesses. That's a good step

Small steps. I still do this as a warmup if I can't immediately approach:

Start making eye contact and smiling at strangers.

Say hi to some strangers, including attractive women.

Start a few conversations with strangers - for example give them a compliment or ask them for the time/advice/directions. Remember to have no expectations, some people will not give you the time of day. It's nothing to do with you.

Start a few innocuous conversations with a few attractive women - same details as above.

Make one approach.

Make another approach.

Etc.

Anxiety is just that... Anxiety.

Anxiety isn't deadly is it? No, it's just a bit uncomfortable.

Go out and talk to strangers, of course it's going to be uncomfortable when you haven't done it. At some point you're realize that it's nothing to worry about. As you do it more, you'll be less uncomfortable with it.

Most people tend to get anxious/uncomfortable when they're in situations that they haven't been in before (social interactions with strangers are no different).

The only way you're going to overcome it, is by doing it.
