I went to get a haircut with a hairdresser I knew, and since she recently moved locations I went into her new salon for the first time and talked to the front desk staff asking about her. She came up to the front desk then we went the chair for haircut. After some discussion I decided to come back the next day for a perm. When I came back the next day and got my perm she had told me that her coworkers had actually felt intimidated by me the previous day. This surprised me because I don't view myself as an intimidating person and I was not trying to be intimidating!

We discussed that it was my height primarily that made me intimidating as I am 6 ft and 6 in tall. It's pretty clear to me that one of the biggest concerns to all women in my dating situation is their personal safety. This means that it's detrimental for me to be intimidating since women would not want to meet with me.

So how can I be less intimidating? The only thing I can think of is smiling, which something that I'll do. I discussed it with my family but they didn't have any ideas because they didn't think I'm intimidating. Your input is appreciated!
