I 24m been talking to a girl 21f that I hooked up with a week or so ago. She seems to have a decent amount of interest. Haven't had time to set up dates due to our conflicting work schedule. I've been playing it slow trying not to talk my way out it. She usually is the one who initiates contact and I respond. I try keeping small talk to a minimum so we have stuff to talk about if and when we eventually set up a date.

Anyways, it's a small world in our college town since it is the summer and only portion of students are here. There is a strip of bars downtown students go to. Inevitably we find eachother at the same bar.

What is the right approach when I run into her? I'm out with my friend group and she is out with hers. Obviously I'll acknowledge her and talk to her, but I feel like there needs to be a balance. I don't want to smother her the second she walks in and abandon my friends and follow her around because that seems low value to me. But I also don't want to act cool and just say what's up and walk away.

Any advice or experiences when u run into a girl you're talking unplanned at a bar? What to do and what not to do?
