You can’t really get away with ignoring an actual LTR for a week, especially a new one, over some bullshit as stupid as this. Soft nexts are more appropriate for plates in my opinion. Particularly if you aren’t texting them every day any way. You just withdraw your attention and they wonder what happened. Maybe you moved on? Maybe you’re with a hotter girl?

Your girl clearly knew you were just playing games. When you initiate a soft next, you have to be willing to walk away if she doesn’t reach out. There’s no chance in hell you were willing to walk away and she knows that. That’s why your soft next was useless. It came off as a childish game. Not like a man who decided to direct his intention to other girls or his mission instead. She knew you were sitting there like a little butthurt bitch wishing you could respond.

Solution is to demote her to plate and game other girls. Otherwise I’m afraid she probably lost a significant amount of respect for you. Might be able to keep the exclusive relationship going for a while, but feels like the countdown clock has already started.

If you soft-next you do not initiate contact. She has to. You set the minimum length when soft-nexting, but if she doesn't contact you, a soft next can turn into a hard next.
