Oh stop this.
If you genuinely want to be friends with a girl, be friends with her.
But most guys aren’t.
They want to be friends and hope they’ll later weasel into being something more. It’s so dishonest and fake.
Girls also know this. They know the guys game, but they stay friends with them since they can get “boyfriend” stuff from these guys like validation etc without doing any of the girlfriend stuff.
Guy friends to girls is like female friends with benefits to guys.
It’s the ultimate thing for both for them. They get boyfriend/girlfriend stuff without having to reciprocate boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. Girls don’t need to put out and guys don’t need to commit.
Guys aren’t entitled to sex. Girls aren’t entitled to commitment.
But notice how only one of these is accepted and girls will always try to spin “being a male friend” as “yeh you won’t get sex from me but you should still be friends with me because otherwise I’ll get hurt or insert any other reason ”
Imagine if a guy said that. “Yeh you won’t get commitment from me but you should still be friends with benefits with me otherwise I’ll get hurt or insert any other reason”
Guys aren’t entitled to sex, girls aren’t entitled to friendship. Period. No ifs or buts.

I mean if that is your ulterior motive to just be with someone because you only want sex with them, then of course that kind of relationship will falter. Its the reason why the OP said she tried to actually make that kind of commitment to someone she really could only see as a friend and the relationship turned more sour than if she turned her ex down initially.
You should look at that thread because understanding both perspectives helps in the end.
And no, a friendship isn’t some sort of commitment, either. Yeah you aren’t obligated to stick around with a person if they turn you down, but if all you’re looking for is sex, you’re not going to have a meaningful relationship anyway even if you did get a woman that actually likes you.

You just ignored what I said.
Men aren’t owed sex, women aren’t owed friendship/commitment.
Here you are trying to shame men by saying they won’t have a meaningful relationship unless they give women friendship.
There is nothing wrong with men seeking sex, there’s nothing wrong with women seeking commitment/friendship.
But One of these statements is not accepted.
Women don’t owe men sex. They must not be shamed for this. Someone saying “yeh you don’t owe men sex but you should give him sex because insert reason” is wrong.
Men don’t owe women commitment/friendship. They must not be shamed for this. Someone saying “yeh you don’t owe women friendship but you should give her friendship because insert reason ” is just as wrong.

No I didn’t ignore what you said. Its the truth. If all you’re looking for is sex without a commitment, you’re not going to have a meaningful relationship.
In fact, lets say you actually did find someone who only just wanted sex from you. Thats it you only hit them up because you’re horny or whatever, that kind of relationship doesn’t last long for a few reasons: one because one of the two starts to develop feelings for one another (because sex is in fact an intimate act and not just getting your rocks off to someone) or two, someone gets in an a committed relationship and ends up leaving the other.
Yes, being shamed from wanting sex is what it is because it requires two to consent. You don’t go to jail for having someone see you as a friend but you do go to jail for trying to do sexual acts on someone without their consent. And again, a friendship isn’t a commitment. You can opt out of one at any given time and you aren’t bound to some sort of monogamy where its cheating if you get with someone else. You enjoy doing things with someone and hanging out with them. Its possible to have that, but heres the thing: Yes, men and women both have sexual desires. Nothing wrong with having them per se. But men acting like that is their sole purpose in life is to get laid and seeing women only for that is of course the reason why its wrong. Not for having sexual urges and needs (that can honestly be taken care of yourself, which theres options out there if need be and i can recommend some sex toy options to get rid of the horny and think clearly.). And from what I have observed, a lot of men on this subreddit are guilty of this.
Its different from wanting a friendship because really women aren’t looking for you to be a boyfriend minus the sex. If they enjoy being around you as a friend and aren’t just being polite in turning you down, they just want to keep you in their circle. Thats it. No obligations.

Men that think with their heads and hearts, and not just their dicks...will get this.

So the only point here is "we girls are hurt too, you know?", is that it?

I mean if all you’re looking for is sex then the only person making a fake-ass friendship is you.
The only reason why opposite sex relationships don’t work is that most guys are only looking for sex.

Sometimes. Other times they actually do value you but don’t have a sexual or romantic attraction to you. They probably like doing things with you like going to places to hang out, play Smash Bros, etc. They still want you around because you have shared interests and stuff and you two click and all.
I used to think what you’re thinking too, but I’ve honestly learned that it really depends on your chemistry with people. Discerning who you want to keep in your circle depends on how your platonic relationship turns out. And I’ve had friends i did crush on, and while they turned me down, we still are cool with each other. And vice versa. Yet we still go to conventions, play online games like Monster Hunter or Overwatch, have parties and stuff, and we’re okay with the mutual platonic relationship we have because we connected in a different way.
