Women like looking and feeling pretty. I would say honestly as a girl who does this, there is a healthy dose of narcissism. But when you’re young and pretty, you want to document it so when you’re old, you really appreciated how you looked. Or at least that’s why I take so many pictures of myself. It’s not really about validation for all of us. Plus can you blame girls if it is? We grow up with strict beauty standards slapped onto us and dream of our best selves. When we reach that, we want to share it with the world.

As a girl I can say it all depends. Could be for validation or the way society has brainwashed them (and by society I mean social media) or sometimes a girl just feels like she looks good and wants to share that. Not all women post selfies or body non-stop on stories. Also age is a factor and context. You can always unfollow ;) and find girls that post stories only of food/nature and pets or of random shit. What kind of stories would guys prefer to see from girls?

Not all women do this. In fact, what you see online is a small representation of the female population at large. Don't let "online" activity skew your perception, of roughly 3.5 billion women around the world.

There are wannabe content creators who want to pump up people to be motivated to workout or wear the latest and greatest outfits.
