How to get around the logistics of having a job that works weird hours?

I used to work very strange hours on my job -- often variable, and often on weekends.

I found that it's all about how you spin the topic. If you always sound negative about your job and schedule, then no one is excited to work around your timeline. But, if you can be energetic and upbeat, then others will follow your flow. Also, always be reasonable with making assumptions about their schedules.

Imagine that a woman invites you to meet up for some food or a drink on Saturday:

Bad response: "Ugh I wish, but my stupid job kills my schedule. I'm always working at night and I can never really ever meet up on weekends...but can you meet me on Tuesday at 3pm in the afternoon?" (sounds really negative and she most likely is working at the time you suggested)

Better response: "A drink sounds great, but I'm really invested in this project and work and my schedule is a little hectic right now and I can't really meet up on the weekends for a while. What about if we get a happy hour drink on Tuesday after you finish work?" (more amiable, implied that your work schedule doesn't destroy your whole life, and gave a reasonable alternative)

You can setup dates on monday and tuesday evenings and saturday and sunday afternoons. You can setup 2 a night or 2 an afternoon if you have to.

You can also meet women during the day at in daygame: college campuses, shopping malls (including employees), cafes, etc.
