Tried dating this girl i used to work with a few months back. We talked for about 3 months and only went out once. I tried for a 2nd date twice but the first time she had plans so we set it up for the following weekend only to later realize it was mothers day weekend. Then we both took vacations.. like 2 months went by and we were just texting every few days. I eventually became frustrated. I was crushing on her and became way to blunt about my emotions and told her that i can only text for so long. (At that point i had a pretty good idea it was going no where)

She responded with basically i dont think this is going anywhere, that she just wouldnt have time to see me. i pretty much agreed and that was that. That was about 6 weeks ago. So i stopped initiating contact.

She messaged me early july, i responded. Small convo about work and stuff. Then a few weeks went by and she messaged me yesterday. I wasnt going to respond, but i ended up texting her back last night. We messsged for a little, but she was acting very flirty. Lots of smiley faces and emojis when she usually doesnt use them. Also joked about visiting me across the country.

I dont work with her anymore, but we are in the same industry. I expect to cross paths with her at meetings, state exams, training, etc. So i didnt think ghosting would be appropriate. Im okay with remaining friends, but deep down i am still interested in her and want to fuck her badly.

In the last 6 weeks ive been chasing other girls, but not really getting anywhere. Setup a date with an old friend this weekend. Got two numbers from these two cute interns that are leaving my company.

I plan on not initiating any more convos with her, but i have a strong feeling she is going to reach out to me again. And if she is still acting flirty, i mean should i ask her out again? Id only agree if we can actually make time for each other. She is a little far for just a hookup and ill probably end up catching feelings for her if i did just go that route.

I have other options, i just honestly would prefer her over any of the newer girls.
