The last time I checked, there are many types of guys. Black, brown, fat, skinny, poor, dumb, smart, rich, poor, short, tall and etc. The problem is that if you talk to any woman, they can find something or something wrong with a man. Some women do not date black guys, tall guys and etc. Your are fine the way you are and there is nothing wrong with your height. You have to accept who you are and learn to deal with people who give you shit test. You need to educate people and make them understand that height is not your problem but theirs.

Being so far from the norm of a what a "man" is supposed to look like is a tough pill to swallow for me.

There is no norm. There is common in your area, but there is no norm.

I don't know how to deal with it.

You have to believe in yourself and accept who you are. That is the only way you can do it.

Any advice you can give to deal with this is greatly appreciated.

Learn how to deal with shit test and show people that this is their problem. This is like a guy telling a girl, I am not going to date you because you have no tits. Don't let the world stop you. Make the world your bitch and enjoy it. You think you are short, imagine what midgets go through.

Aren't most gymnasts relatively short? I went to university with an Olympic gymnast and while I didn't interact with him much, I'm pretty sure he's 5'0".

Work out. Dress well. Be confident. You'll get there.

Iwriteforgroupies nailed it. There are plenty of women that will either not care or look past all kinds of faults if the rest of the package is good. Be confident and don't let your height bother you. If some girl shit tests you on it and you are obviously unphased it won't be a big deal to her BECAUSE it's not a big deal to you.
