For example, a lot of times I always hold the door for a girl, but as I do this I'll say I don't know why I'm doing this you should be holding the door for me.

Her response can easily be "I didn't ask you to open the door for me."

You can't turn beta behavior into alpha behavior by saying some douchey shit along with it.

If girls laugh that doesn't necessarily mean they think it's funny. Are these girls actually buying you dinner late? Are they actually holding the door open for you later? I highly, highly, highly doubt it.

This is still beta Nice Guy™ behavior, you're just justifying it by tossing out a qualifier.

A truly alpha man can be a gentleman, but he does gentlemanly things because he chooses to, and not because he feels the need to be a gentleman.

Stop justifying. Have a backbone.
