Following the instructions put forward in The Trial by Avery Hayden, I took a very baby step today.

As put forward in week one of the book - I just went out and walked around the local shopping centre. It's apparently not important whether or not I approach but I nearly did on a few occasions before I got into my own head and made excuses. I think I'll need to impose the 3 second rule for myself going forward.

The book said to do this for the whole of the first week but I'm hoping I can start approaching again in the next day or two (if I can think of openers) and jump to week two.

It's not much but it is my first step to getting back on the horse and if I can start small then I can pick up momentum pretty soon.

I had a weird sense of confidence today too - I felt like I looked damn good and I have no problem making eye contact and smiling at strangers!
