I have noticed this particular behavior quite often recently. In general I get pretty good amount of attention from women, girls tossing hair, glancing, proximity, crossing uncrossing legs, self touching, touching me and what not. But this is something that happen fairly regularly with random women if I am out and about.

For example, took the train today, just FYI I hold pretty intense eye contact, but friendly. So there is a lot of sexual tension right off the bat, and they really handle it differently. However, I was on the train and girl comes on, we noticed each other and we hold eye contact for about a second until she breaks it to stare at the wall, fine. Then she walks and sit right in the back, in a fairly empty train right in front of me. So maybe she likes sitting in the back. Then not much else, not trying to glance backwards or anything which most girls do. Then her stop came, goes there, looks back at me, holds eye contact for maybe 1,5 second then breaks to the side and stare at her feet for 5-6 seconds. Then she went off, grabbed a cigarette and kept looking at me.

Somewhat strange behavior, generally women either break it to the side after fairly long eye contact, 3 seconds at least, and real seconds not the bullshit metric some go by, or down and look back. But basically always 3 seconds, which is a lot looking into a person's eyes who isn't smiling, at most a small grin on one side if she is sex on legs.

But yeah, this has happened before and happens maybe once or twice a day, break it to the side and then stand like a clown looking at the floor for 5-6 seconds. Almost looks like they are standing there in shame, it looks weird as fk.

Any thoughts or any of you noticed similar behavior?
