In my experience it is awful for picking up girls cold. For most people it makes them lose their inhibitions and become much more social... but it does quite the opposite for me. Makes me extremely nervous and conscious of myself especially when in a public setting (club, concert, etc).
But if you are with a girl you are comfortable with and in a familiar setting, it is amazing. Some of the most incredible nights of my life have been spent just laying around and rolling with a girl and listening to chill edm music. The drug puts sex and physicality on a another level, and really makes me bond with the girl. Only downside is "molly love" where you kind of fall in love with the girl for a week and feel depressed during it.
Edit: it is very neurotoxic and should be used maybe no more than 4-5 times a year, spaced out equally

Probably a little too intense of an experience for picking up girl. A girl will look at you, and you'll probably stare in awe and ask her to marry you.
Just wanted to chime in and say that if you do this, you can only do it every 2-3 months. MDMA is very neurotoxic, and you have to space out the rolls. You should stay around 100 mg, especially if it's your first time. Closer to 200 mg, and it will be obvious to everyone that you are rolling balls.

one of my friends does mdma a bit and seems to have a decent bit of success especially on the dancefloor with women.
Honestly, this doesn't require MDMA. Simply getting out on the dance floor, letting loose, and having fun, will lead to good things.

Tbh that's another issue for me I don't like dancing specifically cause I feel self conscious, stuff, and uncomfortable.
You can address this. Look up some tutorials on YouTube. Take a class. Dance is a language. No one fucking knows how to do it before they take classes.

My verbal game is decent
At clubs or raves, this won't be too valuable. Loud music and dancing are what those events and venues are organized around. So you're goal is to acclimate to the fun. People don't go to a rave or club to be afraid. They go to have FUN.
And that fun revolves around non-verbal communication and dancing.

but idk I feel like I need to work on some stuff and was thinking maybe this could help getting past it and leak into my sober mentality as well a little
Not really. If you can't do it sober, then doing drugs to get there, is a bad idea. It's a crutch that won't enable you to address your problems really if you need the drugs to get there.

What has worked for you regarding the rave scene when it comes to opening while dancing and etc?
Worked?
I already mentioned this.
Let's zoom out and look at this for what it is. You're talking about going to a particular kind of event (club or rave) that's organized around a particular kind of activity or fun (dancing/music).
But what if it were a different situation? If you went to a LAN party, how would you socialize? You'd fucking participate. You'd bring a computer and play games. What you wouldn't do is come without a computer and just try to chat to people while they're playing games, without joining in. You'd be pegged as a weirdo. They'd wonder why you were there, hanging around without being a part of it.
Similarly, if you go to a rave or club thing, you should start off by integrating yourself. Join in the fun. DANCE. And the music is loud, so you're going to have to shift into non-verbal communication. Facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, etc.
Enjoy plugging into the crowd, in general. If you go in trying to "target" girls, you're going to have a terrible time. If you can't enjoy the venue for what it is, just going there to dance, then don't go there.
Enjoy the event and have your own fun, and then you'll be able to bring fun to other people. This is vital because it will feel like you're offering something to others around you and enhancing their fun, if your fun is self-generated.
As opposed to the dudes who don't interact with others as much, don't enjoy dancing, and stand off in the corner before trying to pull girls out of the fun to talk to them.

MDMA is great for ridding yourself of inhibitions, but keep in mind its a double-edged sword. Although you may be much more comfortable with being social on the dance floor, you also will be much more comfortable with untimely escalation, and if you’re not careful, you might end up turning the girl off because you’re “rushing things”.
I’ve used MDMA quite a few times. That being said, I think it could provide the confidence boost you need to be more aggressive in the club, just be careful not to do too much or else it might fuck up your game.
Also, and this should go without saying, MDMA is not a substance to be trifled with. Its extremely neurotoxic and makes you feel like absolute garbage the day after (and sometimes even longer). In my experience, after you leave the club you’re pretty warn out and sweaty from dancing so hard, plus, if you end up bringing a girl back home, you’re gonna wake up the next morning all depressed and you probably wont feel good about yourself regardless of who you were able to pull that night.
Finally, going back to your question of picking up girls at raves, i always have the best luck if i show up to the venue about an hour early because it gives you the chance to meet a bunch of people who are also waiting for the show to start. Its nice to strike up a conversation with someone before spending hours grinding on them without the ability to talk because the music is so loud. If you cant get there before the show starts, just dance and enjoy the music, and if you see a cute girl, bump her a little bit. If she doesn’t notice, don’t be afraid to be aggressive because so many people will be bumping into each other anyway, so just go ahead and dance up on her (just don’t be a creep about it). If shes interested, she will look back towards you to see what you look like then dance back. If shes not interested, odds are she will shift her position on the dance floor. If you catch her attention, but she moves away (even if its just a few feet), just take the L and find another girl you find attractive. There are plenty of people there so don’t take it personally and just move on to your next attempt
