One of my plates is on the verge of breaking. I’ve been seeing her for about 7 months. She’s the longest running plate in my rotation and also my favorite.

Except the last two times we hung out have been a disaster. She tried to flake last minute then wouldn’t have sex the next time. Granted she had decent excuses as far as female excuses are concerned. But still. Not good.

Yesterday she didn’t respond to a text for the first time. I was horny and told her “I’m busy this week but I really want you right now.” No response, which is out of the ordinary for her. It signals to me she’s probably moving on, if she hasn’t moved on already. Especially in conjunction with the last two meets. That said, oddly enough she was talking about wanting something more serious the time before that.

My question is about how to proceed. I have two options I’m considering. One is the soft next. Delete her number and see if she ever reaches out again. Although she probably won’t. I think we’re very close to the expiration date on this one.

The other option is to text her in a couple days (and the only reason why I’d do this is because she’s going away for 5 weeks in September). I’d like to see her a bit before then. So I’m thinking about texting her something like this:

“hey so normally I’d let you reach out if you wanted to, but since you’re going away for a while, I’d rather not waste time if we are gonna hang out again.”

If that text causes it to shatter, so be it. But I’m not really in the mood to play games anymore. I’d rather just clear the air. And if it’s over it’s over.

I know soft next is probably the right move, but part of me also wouldn’t mind a clear end to this relationship. I have slight oneitis and she’s consuming a bit too much of my headspace.

If I soft next, I’ll be wondering if she’s ever going to text me. If I text her and it ends with closure, I can accept it and move on. Or alternatively, it could lead to us hanging out next week instead of wasting a week or two before she (maybe) hits me up.
