Flirt like in any other situation. It's his problem not yours. If she is not receptive because she feels weird about it with him around then just lay off and enjoy the party.

If anything it makes he situation easier. The ex might get jealous and act like a douche, making you look significantly better by comparison. The flip side is she could be slightly out of her comfort zone with a stranger flirting with her and end up going home with him due to the sense of familiarity. Honestly though? My experience is that it's more likely to go your way.
